I was very impressed with this practice and the doctor. My daughter has cerebral palsy and the doctor was very patient and kind to her. He explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it. My daughter felt very comfortable and stated she really like the doctor. I highly recommend this practice.

Our experience was not a positive one. We went in for an eye exam for my young son who is a healthy, energetic boy. He attends school full time. Not willing to sit nicely for the doctor during the eye exam that day...was told by the doctor that my almost 4 year old son was in need of testing including neurological testing because the eye doctor felt my son may have autism! Didn't know eye doctors specialized in diagnosis of autism. I think that anyone that works with young children should have the patience and intelligence to know that children can have bad days and know how to recognize that and

My experience at Family Vision with Doctor Martin was one filled with enlightenment and joy! After struggling with focus issues my whole life, Dr. Martin was able to attribute a part of that to my vision, specifically how my eyes work when reading or trying to focus.
The exam was very in depth and Dr. Martin has an incredible attention to detail. He is friendly and kind, very knowledgeable, and took the time to explain my diagnosis so I could understand it.
My experience at Family Vision was like nothing I've had before at an eye doctors office; no one tried to shuffle me out in a rush

Called to ask if they accept my daughters insurance because she has a prescription all we need to do is walk in and chose glasses. Right away rude receptionist says “NO NO WE ARENT ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS” i explained she doesn’t need to be seen she already has a prescription and she sounds very unsure and unknowledgeable about what to do. Totally gave up.

Five+ stars!
Dr. Martin and his staff are outstanding. After being referred to a vision therapist in St. Charles that turned out to be a quack, we decided to give this office a try. During our first visit Dr. Martin gave our son a comprehensive eye exam that showed precisely what his vision ailment was. He then set a course of vision therapy for our son to last 24 weeks. The therapy would either correct the issue or require surgery.
My son went to weekly vision therapy meetings and followed Dr. Martin's directions. After a month his vision rapidly improved, after a few months he was

Dr. Martin treats our whole family, and we're not an easy bunch! I have kerataconus and my daughter has eye convergence problems. He's extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and takes great care of us. I highly recommend him to anyone needing eye care-- even if you don't have the quirky kinds of eye problems we do!

The occupational therapist at my son's school suggested to me that my son seemed to be having some difficulties with tracking, as he was very delayed with visual-motor skills such as catching a ball. We also noticed difficulties with his reading. Though he was a good reader and was able to decode all of the words, his reading was very halting and he would often repeat parts of a word when reading. We brought him for a screening with Dr. Martin who confirmed the tracking difficulties. He received a full visual-perceptual evaluation and then received about 20 sessions of vision therapy, along

We used a Groupon for an eye exam and 2 pairs of glasses. While they were very busy, they were extremely patient and friendly with me on the phone, although it was hard to get a hold of them. The visit itself was a pleasant one. My husband was happy they didn't do the "eye blower thing". It's kid friendly, and not too bad of prices, however their glasses selection was on the small side.
