Been using this location for years, I mean YEARS! They have always been professional and fast even while really busy.
Family owned business and another reason to use this location.
Parking can be a pain if they are busy.

I went to Fry's for the first time this past Saturday. I had read reviews and was expecting a very long wait, but to my surprise, I was in and out in literally 10 minutes. A worker met me as I drove in to direct me where to park. I parked and unloaded my cans and bottles in the bins provided and took my bins right up to the counter where I found no one in line. They weighed the bins and paid me promptly. It was amazingly fast. I did ask if my wait time was normal and they said that it was not. Normally there is a line of cars to get in to the place. I must have arrived at the perfect

Well this time I didn't use The Yelp Community because I knew about this place but never used them. I got ahold of 31 bags of aluminum and plastic recycling water bottles and cans from a neighbor that said I can take them if I would get them off his property on the weekend. I took all 31 bags at 55 gallons each on Saturday. Took them to my house and separated them 5 hours of work on Saturday. Frys Metals was open Monday so I took 9 / 55 gallon bags and they were very quick no line when I got there so I dumped the bags into their carts and took them to the scale I was over 100 pounds and they

No glass accepted on the weekend!

Other than that this place is very efficient for crv recycling. Alco was my go to before they stopped accepting crv. I've tried American Recycling but the place was small, the lines were long, and they wouldn't accept certain items sometimes.

I arrived on Saturday morning around 9, there were about 10 cars in front of me and I waited about 10-15 minutes to get in. There is someone directing traffic which is very helpful. The spots in front are for those with a few bags and the spots in the back are for those with a truckload. You definitely want

I've been recycling tin cans and plastic bottles here for some time, this place was referred by my uncle by the way. Just this morning, I've encountered a white guy (who's manning the traffic due to the long line) and screamed at me for "not reading" signage procedures, saying "why y'all Chinese can't read English!" I'm very aware that sorting is not allowed within the premises but this time, it just so happen that one of my bags with cans and plastics together so I have no choice, and the white guy even asked me to leave the place and do the sorting

I had some plastic bottles to recycle, and alconmetal in San Leandro no longer takes in plastic. They referred me to Fry's Metals and they were able to help me! I was able to recycle all my bags and didn't have to wait TOO long. You drive up and someone directs you when are where to pull into a spot where you then begin to unload your bottles, metals, or whatever else they accept. I was in and out

So I called ahead to see if they would take my bakery display case and the employee on the said they would take it no problem.after I sat in the line for over 40 min and pulled in the so called manager that has no customer relations at all said he wouldn't take it.as it is his employees responsibility to honor what they say as I drove 10 miles to get rid of with only 25 miles on my tank.so now I won't have gas to even make it home with the added wait.when I asked for someone else to talk to such as owner I was told he was on vacation and told them I didn't care I was told that this

This is a great recycling center! The people who work there were very nice to us. This was my first time going and wasn't sure of the rules there was a line of cars near the entrance but that moved very quickly and it was only about a 10 min wait we didn't realize that glass had to be sorted and it can't be sorted on site so they let us borrow a few bins leave and cut the line. Just as long as you are understanding and nice the people who work here will be nice but because it is a little crowded they can be seen as cut throat. All in all I had a great experience with no complaints

Organized and well run place - all employees are excellent at doing their jobs well.

I usually find myself at Alco at least a few times a year and then while I'm there I might bring some of my seltzer water cans - ok... lets be honest - beer cans.... lots of them.... But with Covid they no longer accept them and so I had to look for a new place to go.

Went to Cash For Cans in Oakland at 2:50pm and was told they were closed as I arrived. A very busy place where you would have to park a block away or in the middle of the street. Pure chaos... I feel like going there would be good for character

Just the worst. They will get mad at you for not knowing the proper procedures - even though they don't have any signage or someone letting people know how they do things. Sorry, that I am not trying to make a career out of collecting cans and can't read your minds!

This place is on a busy street and I didn't realize the cars that were parked on the side of the road were actually in line to bring in their recycling. There may have been signs but I must have missed it, I was just trying to get out of the way. I pulled up into recycling center and a worker told me the line was back there. I apologized and started to back out and he said under his breath but not really because I could clearly hear him from in my car, "It's alwaysss the the Asians". I backed up and went somewhere else. No, thank you.

I have recycled Cans and Bottles since I was 5

years old. Being the Son of a refugee from China.

I grew up very poor. And a lot of times that extra

Money made recycling meant eating or not. Since

I was the oldest child I would not Eat so my other

But now I recycle out of Habit and to stay Humble

This is Where Fry Metals comes in they are one of

The few Crv recycling centers left in the Bay

You can recycle steel here but you don't get any compensation, they will take it for free. Better than paying someone. Also, the place is where those individuals who go and strip metal (copper wires) go to cash in. Not my favorite but it works and I'm glad it exists.

be cautious not to injure yourself in the property there are a lot of sharp edges.
