Services
Recovering from home after surgery can limit you with your daily activities. Our compassionate caregivers can assist residents to a healthy and complete recovery while empowering them and take part in activities they enjoy. Arthritis, physical disabilities, and age-related conditions are some of the few circumstances that prevent patients from caring for themselves.
Our Mission: We believe in providing top rated, high quality personal care at an affordable price. Our staff makes assisted living feel like living at home! Unlike 90% of for profit group homes in this industry, we are not doing it for profit. It is our belief to serve the elderly simply because sooner or later, we will all get there and will need help from others.

The staff at April Bloom are kind, caring and generous with their time and attention. One attendant in particular (Shelly) took excellent care of my wife during her stay there. The staff strive to maintain a intimate, home-like atmosphere, conducive to friendly interactions between staff and resident.

My 2 month stay at April Bloom has been just what is needed during my recovery from damaged nerves due to an arm injury. My stay was from May through June and I was able to relax and forget my cares while sitting on the front or back patio on the acre and a half property. Plenty of large shade trees and and wildlife.

Staff is kind, caring and attentive to all of your needs. You're not a resident here but you are family.
Charlita will cater to all your culinary needs and if you're lucky maybe she'll fix her fall off the bone ribs. Some of the best I've ever had.

The great care I received at April Bloom got me my freedom back! Last Thanksgiving, in the middle of enjoying my families company, I fell resulting in fracturing my right shoulder. I was rushed to the hospital and then ended up at Lorien Nursing home in Columbia, MD. After post recovery in January of this year, my friend started looking for an Assisted Living facility for me because I was still not ready to be on my own.
My friend found April Bloom Assisted Living in a nice, quiet neighborhood not far from Lorien and Howard County General Hospital. My friend and I drove there and knocked on the
