Hahne Estates Winery
Hahne Estates Winery's founder and winemaker, Gary Hahne, is committed to preserving the legacy of his family's friendship and relationship to President Lyndon Baines Johnson and the "Texas White House". The tasting room displays an impressive collection of unique photographs depicting life around the Texas White House during LBJ's time as the 36th President of the United States.

We offer a 3 levels of a Wine Club (3, 6 or 12 bottles) that ship once a quarter and save you 15-20% off retail prices.
Services
It is a blend of what we think are the 3 big red grapes of Texas, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Nero d'Avola. This wine is a bold red with rich tannins and wonderful fruit flavor. It has a coolness that depicts the refreshing river. It is a Viognier Blend that has an aroma of peaches so popular in the Hill Country with an intense flavor.

This winery is either completely closed or moved. Another business is here now. This makes second winery today I found on Yelp that was closed down.

Such a nice wine tasting experience. Owner and winemaker is fantastic. So much history in this winery. If you're in the area please stop by and support this local family owned winery. Cant wait to come back

Saddest little winery. Wines are not good - the sweet option is awful - but they could be better if the inside of this venue didn't smell like moldy vomit. Not good. Owner shares historical tidbits about his family's service to LBJ and seems nostalgic for the "good ole days". The good thing is that there is no charge for a tasting, but we'd gladly pay for a better experience.

Mr. Hahne is the sweetest guy and the wine is delicious as well! He walks you through his family's history in this area of Texas and has some really cool stuff related to LBJ. It may look unassuming but you should make it a stop on your wine tours!

This was my very first winery to attend. I did not have a clue what to expect but whatever it was Mr. Hahne exceeded all my expectations. Mr. Hahne seemed a little rough around the edges until he started spilling out all the beautiful memories him and his family made through the years. We talked about cars, churches, presidents and of course, wine. I couldn't have been anymore impressed with the knowledge he has acquired. Mr. Hahne's winery was clean, filled with old music and had the perfect ambience of the Hill Country. Thank you so much for making my first experience one to remember

My fiancé and I noticed this place on our way to grab a bite to eat. We decided to check it our and were immediately impressed by the superb wine and rich history during our tasting. I highly recommend checking this place out. We were highly impressed with Mr Hahne's personable approach that we took the time to write this review soon after our visit.

This was by far the BEST winery we visited in the area. The owner and winemaker, Gary was just as fabulous as the wines. He welcomes you like family and we listened to all of his great stories. We wanted up staying for two hours and enjoying a bottle of the Texanti, it was difficult to decide which one we enjoyed the best. The wine tastings are at no charge and all five are the best we tasted in the area. We have never gone to a winery and enjoyed every tasting we had, but here we did. We would not only go back but, this would be the sole reason we would visit the area again. Thank you Gary for

If you've never met owner Gary Hahne before, then you're in for a real treat. Besides his wine making history, he always has great stories to tell about the Hill Country and LBJ Ranch. His family has good history to one of the states famous politicians, Lyndon B. Johnson. Gary has many tall and true tales that makes a good story telling experience while sipping his wines. You can also view much of his family's history with the Johnsons as can be seen with some unique photographs that are displayed on the wall. Besides the family history, he has a good selection of wine to try

Hahne Estates Winery Tasting Room is located in downtown Johnson City next to the Pecan Street Brewery. The tasting room has been open for about four months, but owner and winemaker, Gary Hahne, has been making wine for a lifetime. Gary is a Texas Hill Country Native and his family roots date back to his great grandparents who immigrated to the Stonewall area from Germany. His parents were close friends to LBJ and Lady Bird. The Hahne surname in German translates to the English word rooster, which ties to the colorful rooster found on the winery's logo.

There is no tasting fee to sample
