Horn Winery & Tasting Room
Located in the Texas hill country outside of Austin, in the quaint town of Hye, Horn Winery is more than a tasting room. It is a venue for regular events and gatherings offering great wine and a fully operational distillery making craft spirits, for those who want a little more adventure.

Much like an orchestra, the finished piece is not merely the product from one person's training, but the ability of the composer to enhance all the best attributes of each instrument and artist.Even the Terroir of the Texas Hill Country offers tools for the composer to use and produce fruit with unique characteristics.
Services
March and September are our wine club release pick up parties for the year. You will have 90 days from pick-up party date to retrieve your wines or they will be shipped to you with an additional shipping fee, payment will be due on pick-up date. If you would like to have your wines shipped we will send them to the address you have provided after payment is complete.
Even though we would prefer to have you spend time with us in our tasting room before walking out with some bottles to take home, we know that's just not possible all the time. We can ship your favorite Horn Wine anywhere in the great state of Texas, so now there's no reason to have a gathering without the best bottles on hand.

Great wine tasting whites and a Rose. Our wine steward was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a great time, learned quie a bit and bought a couple of bottles of wine to take with us.

Would not recommend this place at all! I have been to many wine tastings and this was my worst experience ever. All of the wines were terrible. The staff was friendly but that didn't make up for the 1/2oz tasting pours (5 total) of terrible wine for $21 a person!!!

If you like to reminisce about your good ol highschool days when you were cool, this is the winery for you. 3 servers, 6 customers, everyone taking shots, it felt like Hye's version of dirty six, and unless you're one of the boyfriends, not a glimpse of eye contact. I don't think that's a very good business model. Just sayin, you might wanna consider expanding your base more than employee's bed partners. You're losing money.

As a business owner I know how important it is to pay my contractors after they have done their job. I wished Horn Winery would do the same.

We stopped at the Horn tasting room and could not have been happier with the experience! We were greeted by Kayla, who walked us through their tasting menu. We hadn't planned on buying any wine today, but the price and the quality made it our favorite stop of the day. We loved it so much that we stopped on our way home to try the Brandy and grab a few more bottles! Do not skip this Vineyard!

Spacious, cute winery. Server was amazing, very friendly. Did the wine tasting, more tastings than I thought I would get for the price, which was fairly cheap to begin with. Loved all the reds. The new rose was light and delicious. Would definitely go back especially to do the distillery tasting!

Leo is the star of this winery! He was so nice to my mom and me during our visit. He explained all the wines very well and took time for as many questions as we wanted. He's amazing!

The venue was good, but the passion and effort exhibited by the staff made us excited about the wine. This was key because both gentlemen behind the counter had only worked there a few weeks at the time of this review, yet performed so well. We are really excited about the wine. We love it when the wine stands on its own, and would have been impressive being served from the back of a food truck. I love it when the wine seems better at home than in the tasting room, which is exactly what happened with Horn. We also joined their wine club. A no brainer! Thanks Horn for a surprisingly wonderful experience

This was such a fun stop! We went to Azeo Distilliery which is in the same building as the winery. Brandon is knowledgeable and friendly. He makes sure you get the best experience and the spirits are good too! The moonshine is super smooth and the grape vodka is surprising. Additionally, the tasting room has a cool steam punk vibe and a pool table, soooo get here!

Wow I can't say enough about this new, fantastic, cute winery!!!

First of all, Taylor (the wine assistant who makes the wine) is accommodating, extremely knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond for customer service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We were able to sample over 8 varieties of wine, including whites, rose's, reds, cider, and dessert wines.

They offer not only a wine sampling, but also a distillery sampling as they are both a wine and distillery producer.

The prices cannot be beaten, it was a steal for everything you get to try!!

If you're like me and have a boyfriend that's not really into wine, but would love to liquor tasting, this is the perfect place. The best of both worlds. This place has both wine and liquor.

Distillery: Azeo rum, brandy and vodka. Rum was pretty good. We took a bottle home. Room is spacious and you can have your own sound track as it is separate to the wine tasting room

Wine: love their merlot. Definitely do their tasting. Grapes aren't from the hill country, but that's what makes them stand out.

Staff was awesome and made us feel right at home. Will definitely go back

This place is great. I only tasted their spirit selection but it was on point. I'm not usually a rum fan but really enjoyed theirs. This place is a very fairly new spot that I would definitely return to again.

This is my favorite new winery because it also has a distillery attached. Something for everyone. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. A must try on the 290 tour. The vodka distilled from apples is very tasty. The knaves you can purchase to flavor the moonshine is a fun gift or to experiment on your own. The port is my favorite of the wines.

There are so many things to adore about Horn Winery and tasting room.
1) The names. The names of the wines are music related and they elegantly tie in the name from aspects of the wine. My favorite is Melody, for example: "Musical sounds in agreeable succession or arrangement. The succession of single tones in musical composition, as distinguished from harmony and rhythm. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot & Petit Verdot combines this composition of Old-World tradition with New World media."
2) The tasting room. It is decorated to theme with piano keys front an center above the wine tasting

New place next to Hye Meadow and the Hye Market, just to the west. Interesting place. You walk in and see the hardware and equipment and can't help but think this place is funded!! They are a spinoff of another Paso winery I believe they said. Interior is sparsely decorated but that have art work on display and for sale which is really cool (Wolfcreek Iron). There is a winery tasting and also their distillery side where they make several different liquors.

Wine Tasting: Not sure what the deal was, but after the first wine, the other reds we tasted all seemed like they were fortified

Went here for my wife's birthday on Sunday with about 8 of us after hitting a winery and distillery nearby. It was nice this place had both. Our party divided itself between the two bars. Josh provided our wine tasting and was very friendly. Most of their wines are dry and bold which I enjoy. The port was sweet and perfect with chocolate. We also tried the cider which was tasty, dry and not too sweet like many ciders. My wife and I had a spirit tasting as well with who I believe was Kaylyn in the Azeo spirits bar. She was very nice. The spirits are distilled from both Apples and Grapes. They provide

Great wines and vodkas. Kaylyn and Brandon are so friendly and knowledgeable. The bordeaux was amazing and the port wine was so chocolate-y. We really enjoyed the vodka and can't wait to go back and enjoy apps on the deck.

Horn Winery is not a conventional winery. The owner, Ryan Horn, is pushing the creative envelope with this new endeavor. Ryan also owns the Vintner Vault which has been helping local wineries since 2003 in Texas (there is also a California location). Ryan's fingerprint is in some way melded into most Texas 290 winery's narrative. Ryan is now experimenting to leave his impression on Texas wine, cider, and distilled liquors.

Thanks to Texas liquor laws there is a separate tasting room within the main tasting room for his Azeo liquors (Apple & Grape Vodka, Rum, Apple & Grape
