Since the 1950's when the Casco Bay Motel first opened through today, as the now Casco Bay Inn, we cater to the guests of the Freeport, Maine area. Our goal is to provide each and every guest with a warm, friendly experience that feels like home and that will keep them coming back to stay with us time and again.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our repeat guests for their loyalty to us. You are the cornerstone of our success. Our staff members are always ready to accommodate the needs of our guests to the best of our abilities.

Services
The Casco Bay Inn is a family-owned and operated hotel. Robin and I had been guests at the hotel for approximately 15 years prior to purchasing the hotel from the Gardiners in January of 2016. One of the main reasons that we purchased the hotel was because we loved the atmosphere and the ambiance. Our goal has been to keep it the same as it has always been with small improvements and updates along the way.
The hotel accommodations at the Casco Bay Inn consist of 45 guest rooms that offer either 2 queen beds or one king bed to meet the needs of our guests. We also have one king suite available either as an extended stay, long-term rental or a more spacious room for a business traveler perhaps. Included with the cost of the stay is a well-stocked continental breakfast each morning that includes gluten-free foods.
The Freeport area is a great destination for a one-night stop along your route or a home base for a stay along the Maine coast. We currently contract with one bus tour company for many weeknight stays throughout the summer. We are always looking for additional groups to stay during our off-season times from November through June.
Freeport, Maine is a great area for vacation attractions and activities in Southern Coastal Maine. If you enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, golf, walks on the beach, boat tours, a baseball game, bird watching, cross country skiing or snowshoeing, Freeport has it. If you are interested in indoor activities such as museums, plays, the symphony, sports events or beer tasting, the greater Freeport area has it.

Stayed here for 6 days with my family, and it was wonderful! The staff was amazing and friendly and so kind to my kids! They gave us recommendations for place to go with our kids as well as local spots to eat. Very helpful, courteous and kind. Our room was perfect! Very clean and had great space and everything we needed! The We had some damage too
So happy you and your family are safe was simple, hard boiled eggs, cereal, breakfast bars, yogurt, muffins and a coffee and tea area. They had everything you needed to start the day!
It's a great little place and we look forward to staying again!

I loved it so much. The room was very clean and it was larger than the other hotel that I paid $250 last time I was in Portland. I liked the renovation and the decorations in the hotel, I felt like I was in my own house. I also loved the wood deck in the back. The price was really reasonable. The only thing was the free breakfast, it was basically coffee and muffins, nothing else. I am still very satisfied with what I got for the price. I highly recommend it to others.

Stayed one night here while driving through Maine on our way to Arcadia National Park. The room was great, clean and comfortable. Loved that there were books and places to hang out throughout the lobby. If we were staying longer, definitely would have utilized those areas. The breakfast wasn't good though. I was hopeful for a hot breakfast, didn't have that. Which is fine but the options were very limited, no bagels or pastries. Otherwise, terrific place to stay!

Absolutely charming! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. Front desk staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The Inn is extremely clean and has a peaceful and charming atmosphere. Our most sincere good wishes to the couple who took ownership and started renovating the Inn. We gave this hotel a five star rating. Thanks for making our stay so memorable Joh and Elaine

Stayed here over the 4th of July weekend. Was able to make a last minute reservation the weekend before and the price was decent for two queen beds. Hotel is off a main road but we couldnt hear any traffic. It was a quaint place, and i really liked the little sitting area and outdoor eating area. Our room was at the back and we were able to utilize a separate secure entrance for convenience. Our room was a good size, very very clean, and comfortable. There is a good size tub, great hot water and pressure, and a separate second sink outside the bathroom. We had a microwave and a fridge as well

Much nicer than a standard motel. It has indoor corridors, large sized rooms, and the coziest breakfast room with a very hard working attendant who makes sure you are well taken care of. Though it is on a main street, it was quiet. Only a 5 minute drive to LL bream flagship store and the other shops.

Spent the night...
Clean room.
Good wifi.
Ample parking.
Nice shower... plenty of towels and such.
Friendly staff and great dog.
It is a good as you are going to get in this hotel class... it is not a Hyatt... it is a motel / inn and as such it is as good as you are going to find in the area.
If you are looking for a nice place to overnight and don't want to break the bank... pull in and enjoy your stay. It is a short drive to town, but it is less money out of your pocket.

This is our second stay and it won't be the last. The rooms are spotlessly clean and roomy. The bathroom has plenty of towels and amenities. The continental breakfast is better than most with hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, a selection of breads and cereals. The lady who is in charge of the breakfast room is constantly replenishing the items and cleaning the tables as needed. We've stayed at some five star hotels that were not as well maintained as this gem. Lovely!

A great bargain! Clean, spacious well-kept rooms with refrigerators, coffee makers and refrigerators. Front desk staff (Kate?) was very friendly and helpful in resolving a problem I had with the cable TV service in my room.
Other reviewers expressed disappointment with the continental breakfast. Keep in mind that Casco Bay Inn charges much less per night than the major chains in the area - I'm sure they keep costs down by avoiding frills such as full hot breakfasts. There are several cafes and restaurants nearby that serve breakfast if you want more than they offer at the hotel.

We came last minute for Labor Day. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and the price was very reasonable. Overall a good value. I didn't give it a 5 because breakfast wasn't anything great, but there again, coffee was good, they had cereal, bagels, English muffins, etc. so the basics, if they had muffins and Danish that were not in plastic wrappers it would give it a more homey feel. Other than that, I will come back.

We found Casco Bay on the internet and got a very good price. We got a first floor room on the back side that had a very convenient secure entrance. The room was spacious and included a frig and micro wave. The staff was also very friendly and were very happy to help whenever asked. The breakfast was continental style and had a good variety of things. If you left hungry it was your own fault. It's not fancy but, it's convenient, close to activities and reasonable. I will not hesitate to stay here again when I'm in the area.
