We prioritize each member and their household's unique needs and plans for the future when selecting and tailoring financial services for the community. It is our desire to meet your needs, as we continue to add innovative financial services and products at HHCU.

At the time, this included about 2,000 employees in Houston and the seven surrounding counties. Since that time, the number of employees and counties has decreased, and they presently have less than 1,400 employees. In 1991, when all the state chartered credit unions were required to qualify for the federal insurance, there were two small Houston credit unions in our area who could not qualify.
Since 1952, Houston Highway Credit Union has been working to create and develop mutually beneficial financial relationships with everyone possible. We have all the products and services you might need to put you on the Road to Financial Success. Are you ready to apply for a loan? Houston Highway loans include automobile, recreational vehicle, personal, home, and more available for you.
At Houston Highway Credit Union, we offer a variety of loans for our members. So whether you're buying a new home, a new or used vehicle, starting a business, vacationing, or simply need a little extra help, we're here to help. With affordable rates and easy-to-manage terms we can help make your dreams a reality.
If a new or used vehicle is in the plans for you, we offer great rates on New Auto Loans and Used Auto Loans, and can save you hundreds over what you might pay at the dealership. The great state of Texas is big, so you need to make sure the car you purchase is dependable, able to get you from Point A to Point B on time, every time!
Are you stuck with a high-interest Auto Loan? If you have an Auto Loan through a dealership or another financial institution, chances are your rates are higher than they need to be. It's one thing to have an entire staff be incompetent. It takes a special dumpster-fire of an organization to also make sure each employee is also incredibly rude. I have never dealt with a financial institution that employed so many people who know absolutely nothing, but talk back to you like they are too good for you. Run, don't walk, away from this place.

Member for decades. Too much overhead expenses resulting in new, unacceptable fees mainly being the $5/transaction shared branch fee. Since HHCU is not at a convenient location to me, at least I could use a shared branch location. Now with this new fee, I am leaving HHCU for a better (offers better savings and CD rates) CU which does not charge a shared branch transaction fee and has a much more convenient main location and also has several branches.

Bad service. I will not recommend David Hewin the president of the bank gave us horrible attitude we had an account before he said we couldn't open an account with them because we didn't live within 10 mile radius . I have my bank account which hasn't expired and he still couldn't open my account. We came before and all we were missing was proof of address and we come a second time and he said we needed to live within the 10 mile radius. I feel really degrated. We show proof that we had an account before he still couldn't help us

This credit union openly discriminates against people wearing baseball hats. The branch manager told me that if I were wearing a turban or if my wife was wearing a head covering, they would not ask us to remove them and would serve us. Their claim is that it is a security risk. According to the branch manager, it's perfectly fine to walk about the lobby with a hat on but somehow, transacting with someone via a phone and monitor is a security risk. Weird.

The absolute worst credit union. I have three other credit unions this one is garbage. Access is limited to your money depending on your seniority at the bank. One of their bankers misguided me creating a gap in my payments that reflected negatively on my account and the management would not own up to it and deflected. Garbage straight garbage.
