Nerd Power launched in 2015 when head Nerd and CEO Babe Kilgore envisioned a path to smarter energy for us all. Reduce before you Produce. With a clear mission, a truck load of dad jokes armed with enough brain power to make Albert Einstein perk up, he began building the smart energy company of tomorrow.
We have a principle we call: "It's the same money"; here is what you need to understand: the cost of converting to solar and upgrading the energy efficiency of your home or business is likely lower than what you are currently paying your utility company. So if you are going to spend that money no matter what, why not invest that money in your property instead of sending it to the utility company?

My husband and I were looking into solar recently and saw a few neighbors with solar panels so, we were intrigued ourselves. Thankfully, Mike G came knocking on our door. Very pleased with the customer service we received thus far. Very professional and courteous of our time. Looking forward to our next meeting.

We spoke to Michael he was able to schedule us with an energy evaluation, now our house is going to be able to reduce our energy usage. And we might be able to qualify for clean renewable energy and save a ton of money on our electric bill!!! I’m really hoping this company can qualify us, fingers crossed!!!

We interviewed 3 solar companies. SunRun, Fusion and Nerd Power in that order. When Karl Goodman sat down at our kitchen table it was a game changer. If you want to understand the process, the technology and never have a stressful moment during the whole process. No matter what your needs are like in our case we needed a new AC etc..Karl Goodman and Nerd Power is where you should invest.

I wanted to put in a good word for Nerd Power who installed our solar panels. From the very first contact they were extremely professional and knowledgeable. They explained in detail what our options were and answered all our technical questions in detail. During these crazy days of Covid when any issues or questions arose, we had a designated lead person we could always contact. The end result was a professional solar panel installation that passed City inspection. During the install process I found all the employees of Nerd Power to be knowledgeable, trustworthy and available. I highly recommend

We decided to get solar back in April 2021. We met with Michael Cope who stated that "wait till you see what I can do for you when you're a customer" after negotiating our deal. Nerd Power came out in August and placed the brackets on our roof. We were told that someone would get us to schedule the rest of the install. Nerd Power NEVER called. We had to call repeatedly to get any progress. Our panels were finally installed at the beginning of September, and we thought we would be fully operational. However, when the final install took place, they stated that the electrician did not install one

I am so glad I did not write a review earlier as they requested in the beginning. I will be taking the time later this week to write more reviews on other platforms. I can simply say that my SRP bill was on average 200 and is now 160-170 but now I have a solar bill for an additional 178 a month. This was suppose to take the place of my SRP bill with the exception of the 35 dollar "grid" charge for SRP I could not avoid.
Sound good at first, 178 plus 35 is only a little more than what I was paying and I could have solar. We had problems from the start with the installation. They told us they were

My experience with Nerd Power started great with Liz, but went downhill after that. The company had to repeatedly come out for the site visits to take pictures because they forgot to or had an employee that was not meeting standards. Good on the company for removing those that do not perform well, but to have to meet the company 5 times for pictures of my house is extremely inconvenient. Not to mention that one time, they blamed me because there were dogs that 'prevented' them from getting pictures when I was there and the dogs were out of the way.

Well this is based on employment. They had a position that I was applying for I had called and asked if the position was an in-office position or a canvassing position. I was told that it was a office position. I then felt that maybe somebody was lying to me so I did call again and spoke to another person and they said it was a in office call center position. When I got there they were having a group information meeting with prospective employees. I watched their 5 minute video and then proceed to ask them if this was a position where we called from the facility and I was told by one of the meeting

Too expensive, no customer service, no options for the install, and no idea what I have on my roof. For the money spent I could've gotten a tesla power wall.
I'm disappointed. I know the power inverter has wifi access but I don't know how to access it. Also, the power inverter doesn't support battery backup. Something I would've wanted if I had just been asked. I have no idea if the system is performing as it should.
Horrible service. They cut holes in the roof to crawl around my attic rather than knock on my door while I was home.

I went live with my Nerd Power solar installation on March 29, 2021. Everyone from Nerd Power--from the initial contact to the consultant who explained the process and the many options to all the technicians and installers--were knowledgeable and delightful to work with. I felt confident every step of the way and my consultant quickly responded whenever I had any questions. Technicians always showed up exactly when they said they would. It was an enjoyable experience and I love using the sun for my energy.

The two gentlemen first came to my home mentioned the government programs available to help pay for these changes, Karl came to my home the next week and we discussed some different options for about an hour. Karl also mentioned these state programs that would help with the cost but did not say exactly what they were. We scheduled another meeting, I did some quick googling about these supposed government programs and found out quick I didn't qualify. When I told Karl I wasn't interested he responded like a small child who had his toy taken away, accusing me of making something up and

It has now been more than a month since I realized that NERD Power destroyed my roof, I had notified them to get it fixed and I am still waiting for results.
There has been zero proactive follow up by the destroyers, as the only time I've heard a response back, has been the result of an inquiry. Of those responses, it has been very non-committal statements that they haven't gotten the roofer's proposal back yet, they are still waiting on the roofer to get back to them, the roofer needs to order materials, we should hear something next week, etc. not once was I ever reached out

I loved that the pricing options for the installation of the new roof and solar panels plus an upgrade on our HVAC to an AC unit was affordable and rolled into one payment plan. However, after nearly six months, we are STILL waiting to hear back from the HVAC contractor to start that portion of the project. Having started this process in early November, we thought the HVAC would be done long before the end of April. We are now approaching the warm season in Tucson, AZ and still no word on this. I've called multiple times to check on this and rarely get a call back. Communication with this

I got my panels over a year ago and I still have the same complaints. If the salesman had more knowledge I would have known not to go with this company. They didn't give me the panels needed for a 3 bedroom home but instead gave me enough for a two bedroom and said that if we sell the new owners will have to get more for themselves. There are other companies out there that will help

I would have initially rated this company and my experience with them as five starts, however the post-install support has been excruciatingly disappointing.
The process started over a year ago when I first purchased my home. Getting solar installed was at the top of my list and I received quotes from a few companies but due to some circumstances didn't move forward. I was contacted again by NERD Power in late June and I decided to move forward.
The sales and install process was great and communication throughout was okay as far as getting timeline updates.
