Services
Founded in 1916, UCH began its mission at a time of ethnic discrimination, poverty, and pandemic. There were no safety nets for the poor or older adults like there are today. Over the years, people and situations have changed, but our mission has remained the same to provide quality and affordable housing and healthcare options to older adults.
No two person's needs are the same. For that reason, United Church Homes offers a wide selection of flexible healthcare and senior living options to meet the unique requirements of every resident. UCH Life Plan Communities provide a continuum of residential and healthcare services on one campus, including independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, Fast Track Rehab and memory care.

We are concerned for the financial welfare of a current 95-year-old resident who transferred from Glenwood to assisted living in The Pines three months ago. Her $93,000 deposit is being held hostage -- she is supposed to receive 95% of it when she transferred and the room is occupied. Why is she responsible for filling the vacancy? We find this curious. Sounds like someone is taking advantage of a fragile member of society to me. Sounds like the media might be interested.
