Darlene received her dental training and education at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska. She also has an associate's of science from Northwest Florida State College. Darlene brings over three decades of dentistry experience to the office. She is currently responsible for maintaining and overseeing all of the administrative responsibilities at Ottesen Family Dentistry.

I never liked going to dentist, and after a really bad episode I quit going altogether. Dr. O and the O Team are amazing. It was a 180 turn from dread and well, hatred of dentists to new best friends forever. Seriously. The procedures were done with professional expertise, and my friend list increased. I stopped by the office on a Wednesday suffering from significant pain, received a "fit in" appointment for Friday, was seen on Friday, and had an appointment for a root canal on the following Thursday. In the meantime, received antibiotics and pain meds. Great service and care!
UPDATE July 8 2021 _ I chipped a tooth in the evening, called the office the next morning, and was seen that afternoon for a temporary fix to avoid pain / infection. Permanent fix is scheduled. Awesome customer care and service!
UPDATE 31 August 2021 _ temporary crown broke and fell off my tooth at 10:30pm. I left a message

I am so glad that I switched to Dr. Ottesen, as she is the best dentist that I have ever had. She goes above and beyond to check for issues in bite, caught issues no other dentist ever had, and even does training on her own to keep up with the latest techniques and devices. Her technicians are also top knotch and are professional while showing genuine care for the patients.

The Ottesen team identified a couple of problem areas and referred me to two specialists. My bite is now being adjusted and the headaches are gone and the gum specialist is very knowledgeable and treatment is ongoing. Very happy with results, looking very good and more importantly pain-free and got my smile back. As a bonus they also gave me an electric toothbrush head for my Oral B handheld, first dentist to do so!

Comparing my visit with Dr. Ottesen's dental visit with any other dental office is like comparing a BMW to a Yugo car. This office is top of the line in technology. All the staff I came in contact with from the front desk until finished with cleaning was professional and knowledgeable. I just had the BEST dental experience!! It wasn't just an appointment it was truly an experience. My husband and I are retired Air Force and we were in search of a family dentist. We hit the jackpot! Every step in the process from booking an appointment, filling out the electronic forms, COVID screening, handling insurance claims, to the exam and cleaning was flawless. Dr. Ottesen is a true professional with an impeccable bedside (chair-side) manner to match. Her staff is also a reflection of what kind of practice she runs and I was blown away by the competency, efficiency, and kindness

My initial cleaning was absolutely wonderful. Tech was happy to be there & loves her job...great environment. Smart & gave me good professional advice on my oral hygiene. Will request her again.
