Monterrey Iron & Metal (MIM) is a metal and scrap recycling center located on Frio City Road, near Kelly USA Port San Antonio, in San Antonio's south side of town. We bought our first truck in 1928 - and have come a long way since then! Our yard today encompasses over 30 acres of efficiently organized scrap, equipment, and crew.
In 2016, we celebrated 100 years of recycling in San Antonio. We are South Texas' original recycler. Celebrating our centennial in 2016, MIM has managed to successfully navigate the ever-changing scrap markets while improving upon safety and efficiency. With a full crew of mechanics, welders, machine operators, truck drivers, and managerial staff, Monterrey can handle more material with less downtime.

I don't recommend this place they hardly give you enough for any scrap metal you bring for only 20 pounds they give you six bucks witch is very low and they force you to make an account with them or else they wont buy anything you bring them and is quite far and for gas mileage is not good on the long run for the amount you are getting on metal is not even enough to fill your gas tank
