I would give them a zero if I could. We always have a problem with the hot water. I call and nobody picks up the phone. I send an email and I'll get a one word response. Whatever. That's fine. But the problem is a month later there's no hot water again. Same thing. Nobody answers the phone or calls back. I'll send an email. I'll explain that this has been happening a lot (no water) and ask if the problem is being fixed. Their response is "it's fixed". That's it! This has happened literally 5 times now. There is one specific Benchmark employee that oversees the apartment building where I live/own a co-op. He is extremely unprofessional, not proactive, unhelpful. The only time I received a prompt, professional and helpful response was when that person was on vacation and someone else at Benchmark was able to assist.

I have been at my condo here in Mamaroneck 24 yrs. When we switched to Benchmark in 2015 what a horrible mistake it was. We had a great property manager and when Benchmark came on what a disaster they have been. They never respond, They hire incompetent contractors to fix things inbuilding who do things 5 times instead of once. They are nasty stupid individuals. Common sense of rocks. If I could give a zero i would. our Board must be friends with them because any other Board would have gotten rid of them already. Cant wait to move.

I wish I could give them less than 1 star. When I bought my apartment I really tried to give this small management company the benefit of the doubt. They'll berate you for things that are beyond your control. Expect them to take at least a month to complete the simplest task such as getting you your maintenance bill. Anything more complicated just wait until your board has an open session and take care of it yourself.

I became the owner of my unit about 2 years ago and before that my parents owned it. The experience we have had with Benchmark has always been positive. When I've called the office and left a message or sent an email, I would always receive a response in a timely manner. I am currently selling my unit and needed items for the sale, Michael Calomino was extremely helpful with everything I needed. I've worked at a management company in the past and I know how challenging it can be to make owners/tenants happy, they have done a great job for my family.

Benchmark management has been managing our coop complex (2199 Holland Avenue) since June of 2013. Patty our property manager answer the phone all the time from issues with shareholders. I am on the coop board. She gets us competitive bids when we need work done in our buildings or in need of supplies.
Every month Benchmark provides financial reports with copies of statements, checks written and a full breakdown of a financial spreadsheet to the board. The previous management company that managed our property had never provided us with this.
I would recommend this management company to any coop

I dont know who this Dee N is in the review below,but shes definately a shill. Probably works for Benchmark judging by My personal experience with them,and the other reviews here. Benchmark is My Co-Ops management company. They are evil,dishonest,unethical,and a waste of money. I dont know what they actually do for our shareholders,because they honestly dont actually manage our property,and dont have exclusive rights to real estate brokerage. Horrible management company. As of now have not had heat in New Rochelle yet this year. And on the coldest day of the year they have 1 part time super trying to fix 70 apartments or so since 11 am. Steven, the property manager, is rude and a liar. Said would have 2 plumbers onsite. He also said when I just called him back “it’s friday what do you want me to do “. Real professional. I’m in the construction field and would recommend staying FAR AWAY a company like this. I will be calling the city to file a complaint.

I've been living at the seasons condominiums in White Plains for 18 years they did not hold the elevator on the day of my move out and they were unaware that I left my security deposit to reserve the elevator there are three elevators at the seasons on 4 Martin Avenue in White Plains New York One elevator is being repaired and one elevator is the freight elevator which was supposed to be locked for my move out date and the other elevator is a passenger elevator because they did not lock my elevator residents had to use the freight elevator up and it cost me an extra $561 in overtime for the

Benchmark has been just that, a Benchmark to how other management companies should conduct their business. After years of struggling with other companies, terrible experiences with billing, and lack of follow through with maintenance issues, Benchmark has greatly improved our building in the 2 years that we have been working with them. They have helped us build up our capital reserves and we are moving forward with long needed capital improvements. Their staff is responsive, knowledgeable and pleasant.

My property is managed by benchmark and since they took over its been a completely different experience. First of all they really care. The grounds are now finally clean. And they got the financials organized finally. The financial management of our previous management company made me uncomfortable. Whatever software Benchmark uses is top of the line and the reports are clean and professional. Overall i am really happy we picked Benchmark.

I have been extremely frustrated and very disappointed in Benchmark Management. My complex just hired Benchmark about a year ago and it's been a disaster. Our hallways and common areas are filthy, our lawns have giant areas with no grass! They have mismanaged our maintenence fees more than once. We have personally called them more than once and we never receive a phone call back. I suggest NOT purchasing property in any complex that benchmark manages. It has been a horrible experience.

I have been living in my community for 15 years and in those 15 years we have had all the big name management companies in westchester. Finally our board hired Benchmark Management in Mamaroneck and I can see the difference in our community almost overnight. After so many years of being neglected and ignored Benchmark has turned us around. Our landscaping is impeccable and our premises are clean. Even the employees are more responsive and someone always also picks up the phone when we call their office we couldn't have asked for a better choice. I now look forward to staying here after thinking
