The mission of Holy Trinity School is to create a Christ centered, academically challenging environment where students learn to know, love, and serve God. As a faith community, grades K-8 attend weekly Mass and students learn leadership skills by participating in reading, singing, and altar serving.
Mutual respect, excellence in education, and opportunities to put faith in action foster productive, faithful, responsible Catholic Christians. Our goal as educators is to guide our students to discover and develop their individual gifts and talents to serve the Lord. We invite you to visit this community of love and faith and to see for yourself the commitment we make to every child.

Holy Trinity School was established in 1870 as a single room building on Alpine Church Road in Comstock Park. As the population continued to grow in the area, a new and larger school and parish were built in 1901 and then again in 1923. The original school was torn down in 1930 and a new rectory was built in its place.
Holy Trinity School costs substantially less than daycare. At $16 per day, your child is getting faith-based education for approximately $2 per hour. You can purchase SCRIP for tuition reduction and set up a tuition account before your child even enters school. There has probably never been a more challenging time to be a parent.
Enroll today by calling the school or download forms here and send them into the school electronically to krand@holytrinitycp.org. Holy Trinity School has a highly rated Great Start to Quality preschool. Our programs are open to all denominations and faiths. Children from Holy Trinity Preschool benefit from a Christian centered education that teaches valuable life skills in addition to the curriculum.
Holy Trinity School offers a wonderful faith based education. In our school, we treat each child as an individual with special unique gifts and we help each child find the confidence to share those gifts. Each child will be taught to welcome every opportunity with strength, with faith, with self-assurance and to make decisions of which they can be proud.
This program opens at 7AM and runs until 7:50AM, students are then allowed to walk over to the big school building. This program is open to all students, preschool through 8th grade, and is run by our kindergarten teacher, Ms. Bailey, in the early childhood center. Interested in enrolling your child in our school?

We started our oldest out at Holy Trinity almost 10 years ago in preschool not knowing if we were going to stay or not. It definitely was not an easy decision whether to stay or go to a different school for kindergarten. My husband and I both attended public so we knew the difference and the options we were weighing. Long story short, we will be enrolling our fourth child into kindergarten next year and could not be happier. Our four children each have different personalities, challenges, strengths and weaknesses and Holy Trinity accommodates every single one of them. From the lazy genius to generalized

I had the opportunity to substitute teach at Holy Trinity. The staff and children demonstrated a true knowledge of Jesus and the Catholic Faith. They were friendly, happy, considerate, and welcoming. Definitely not the words I would use to describe children in most schools I have visited throughout my career. As an educator I know the hard work and dedication it takes to work in a private school. As a parent I know that it is not the teacher's responsibility to teach my child how to be a good Christian. That lesson begins at home. I teach my children to choose Jesus as their role model and mentor

I'm really impressed by the values of this school. I grew up near this school, and have heard nothing but good things from families in the area. STEM education is valued at Holy Trinity and they put forth resources to increase student engagement in this area. I believe that several of these reviews citing 1-star are in response to one individual's isolated, negative experience.

The principal accepts the staff teaching:
- Daydreaming in class is a sin. It’s stealing time; stealing is a sin therefore daydreaming is a sin.
- Homework on Sunday is a sin.
The principal denied and ignored that this was being taught to third graders. Then the lesson sheet was discovered. The principal asked me what she should do about it! I asked the principal to have these alleged sins correctly retaught to the third graders. This was never done.
I was told parents sign a contract and must accept how the school is teaching religion. Enrollment for 1 child is over $3,500 annually for this

When we left we kept silent. We left before finishing eighth grade. As kids get older class sizes got smaller. There were problems finding friends, students isolating and cutting out classmates and bullying. It was hard for my child to be targeted at times and witness others as targets. Teachers complained of recess problems and classroom discipline.
There are great families and others that had disrespectful, disruptive kids. One child along with the parents found an unsecured access door, entered and assaulted the gym teacher in the presence of students.

We've had excellent experiences at Holy Trinity School. The entire community has been warm, welcoming, and kind to our son and our entire family. Academics are wonderful and the overall culture is excellent. Administration, staff, and teachers are all second to none. I say this having experiences related to at least 10 other private and public schools in the Greater Grand Rapids area. For both educational and religious reasons I would 100% recommend Holy Trinity to other families.

We have been thoroughly pleased with the authentic Catholic education that our children have received at Holy Trinity. We have 1 student who has graduated from HT and is now a freshman at West Catholic. His freshman year has proven the value of his HT education. He has been very well prepared to succeed at the high school level. We also have 4 children still at Holy Trinity. The teachers and staff are extremely dedicated to teaching and growing the whole person, spiritually and intellectually. Additionally, the tuition is extremely reasonable for a private education. We would highly recommend anyone
