Ohio-native Sarah O'Brien started Little Tart Bakeshop at Atlanta's farmers markets in 2010. Drawn to the south by its long growing season, excellent produce, and friends who had made the vibrant city of Atlanta home, O'Brien opened her first brick and mortar shop at the Jane in Grant Park in 2011.
A stall at the Krog Street Market followed in 2014, plus a new location in Summerhill in 2019, and Little Tart can still be found at farmers markets around town. Today, Little Tart is made up of passionate bakers, baristas, and counter staff who work diligently every day to make and serve delicious, thoughtfully-produced pastry and coffee.

Services
We opened our first location in Grant Park in 2011 with Octane Coffee. This light-filled space has been a fixture in the community ever since. Most of our production occurs here, so you'll see a busy, full kitchen in the back.
At this cafe we also offer our curated brunch menu on the weekends, which is inspired by the seasons and what we can get from our local farmers; think croissant french toast with seasonal butter, and chicken sausage on our homemade biscuits. At our Krog Street Market stall we offer a full espresso menu featuring Counter Culture Coffee, and the pastries you know and love from Little Tart.

Little Tart is always looking for hardworking bakers, counter staff, and baristas. We aim to cultivate a team of folks who will be with us for the long haul, and thus offer our employees industry-leading benefits, plus a fun, creative work environment. Thankful my sweet friend introduced me to this cute little bakeshop. The menu offers mouth watering pastries, sandwiches, coffee and more. I ordered a vegetarian sandwich, holiday cookies and a nitro oat latte.
The nitro oat latte was solid! It was on the sweeter side, which is exactly what I wanted. The cookies were divine. Not too sweet. The veggie sandwich was huge! I took it home and split it with my son. He's not big on veggie sandwiches but he loved this one, and actually asked about it weeks later!

If you're in Atlanta, run don't walk. This place is phenomenal! I've had pastries across the country but this is really one underrated bakery! Everything here was amazing! I didn't even get a picture of the house made biscuit and homemade blackberry jam. Holy crap! SO YUM! This pistachio chocolate croissant was sooo flaky and delicious, a flavor I've never had before. The Nutella hazelnut kouign Amman that sells out quickly was just as mouth watering. Highly highly recommend!

Stopped by The Little Tart Bakeshop for a quick hang with a friend!
Free parking in the lot behind the shop and tons of street parking available as well. The space is beautifully decorated and so much natural lighting and big windows that make this place so relaxing and welcoming. The service is quick and all the servers were bubbly and personable. I got a simple hot chocolate and my friend ordered a coffee. We were happy with both, but know they have so many yummy looking snacks, drinks, and even beer/wine/cocktails. People were able to do work, read, chat with friends, etc as the ambiance was

Stopped my Peachtree Farmers Market and they were just about to close up. Luckily they had one of their Bostocks left, it looked amazing, turns out it was even tastier than it looked. Being from North Carolina, we stopped by their retail location right before we left. They have an amazing selection. Everything was flavorful, buttery, fresh. Truly wish one of their locations would open in NC. The location has great parking, business was busy, but the staff was quite nice. They have a preorder pickup window so you can be in and out quickly as well. Don't miss out 😍

I want to give this place 5 stars but every time I have come, they barely have pastries that interest me. I have visited this place at least 4 times and may have to get here super early to try any of the quiches, ham and cheese croissants. They always have cookies and butter croissants if you are in the mood for that but just a little disappointed that it's not stocked for brunch times. By that time, they are out of items. I hear a lot of good things but unfortunately I can't rate it higher if I can't try the food :(

Their pastries are wonderful but nobody seems to have commented on their sourdough bread which I think is phenomenal. I've never tasted sourdough this good outside of San Francisco. The sourdough has exceptional taste and the toughest, chewiest crust I have ever eaten. My son started buying me a loaf when he visited and now I'm addicted. Warmed with butter and Nutella, it is a real treat. Also, a great base for sandwiches.

Stopped for breakfast here before i had to head to the airport, and i am so glad i did. i think this place might become a fixed stop every time i come to atlanta, it was that good.
i ordered a coffee and two pastries - one to eat for breakfast and one to take with me as a pre-flight snack. the lavender latte was amazing--the flavor was subtle but definitely noticeable, and i always appreciate dairy free options at coffee shops!
the parmesan spinach scallion scone was soooo good, and it paired surprisingly well with the lavender in the latte.
the chocolate pistachio croissant was, however, on

We love getting the scones here...!
Things you should know:
I. PARKING
There's parking in front of the bake shop; however it fills up rather quickly. If you can't find an available parking spot in the lot, then you can find one around the neighboring apartment complex for free.
II. QUALITY
Fresh! Nothing is worse than a stale or dry pastry. When you take a bite out of these, they melt in your mouth & explode with flavor.
III. SERVICE
No complaints
IV. CAPACITY
The tables fill up fast & the noise level is moderately loud. Probably not the best spot for quiet studies but great for socializing

Love this place! I am a huge croissant fan and I can't get enough of Little Tart's chocolate pistachio croissant. Buttery and flaky, but also perfectly chocolatey with pistachios... But literally every baked good here is to die for. On the weekends, they have specials. Get here early enough to snag one of the sourdough loaves! The coffee is also top notch, I recommend the lavender mocha!

Little tart is having the best quarantine ever. They are always POPPING. People are always lined up (6ft apart) outside no matter the weather. Rain, sleet, freezing cold, scorching hot, doesn't matter. Expect a line, esp on weekends. Is the line worth it. Why, yes, yes it is.
Why is this place great? Consistency. They are consistently great quality. Lattes, pastrys, bread, doesn't really matter what it is. They are on it.
My personal faves that you too should try:
All lattes. They make their own syrup so make sure to get a flavor in your drink
Parmesan scallion scone-drooling thinking

I'm thankful for Little Tart always, but especially today on Thank You Thursday! The staff always makes me feel welcome when I pop in for my coffee. I often stop by on my way into a workspace. Even though they're just a window right now, it feels like you're about to order a whole cup of happiness :)
The smell brings me immediately back to the Italian bakery my mom used to bring me to as a kid. It's something so specific - more specific than just general bakery smell.
I genuinely think their croissants are better than any I tried in Paris. The pain au chocolat will visit me

The is the second location I have tried and there is one opening in Summerhill soon. Another indulgence drew us in for a snack and coffee. The raspberry merengue was too sweet for me but my little one devoured it like I used to when I was little. Coffee was good. Occasionally I get cravings for a nice croissant and this is definitely the place to have one. Love the clean country French vibe of these places.
