Adam is the heart and soul of Salon Loka. He has been here since the doors opened in 2013 and his passion for the salon goes without notice to anyone who walks in the door. He's always there to lend his fellow teammates assistance on color formulating, organization and helping to motivate. He has over 11 years experience and his drive for growth and inspiration never stops.
When Adam is not in the salon you can most likely find him on his farm taking care of his horses, cows and chickens, most likely followed by his love, Ricky, a boxer/lab mix. Adam is a very well rounded and a solid stylist. He specializes in men's cuts, balayage, and buttery blondes, but his character and humor is what makes a day with Adam in the salon one of the best.

I cannot recommend Kimberly enough! I just moved to Maine and was looking for a new hair stylist. I am so lucky that I found Salon Loka and was given an appointment with Kimberly. I was planning hair and makeup for my maternity photoshoot, and chose Kimberly at the recommendation of a friend -- I can see why she raved about her.
She's seriously skilled, meticulous but quick with her craft, and a total sweetheart. My makeup and hair -- a whole ethereal / pseudo-bohemian look I was going for -- turned out exactly as I envisioned. Makeup was perfectly delicate, contoured, and looked amazing in pics.

I scheduled full color and a cut after my normal salon was unresponsive, and should have left. The location is adorable, but my stylist was timid and didn’t have suggestions when I asked her what would help my hair look thicker(struggling with post cancer thinning), and had to ask her colleagues for direction. Two hours for highlights instead of the full color I asked for, with no blending in my six months of growth or the cut I had originally requested. The brushes had hair from previous clients sticking out and there was no cleaning of stations or the sink area between clients. I left not looking

I had a wonderful time, my first time coming and I had a fantastic haircut. The girl that cut my hair did a terrific job. Very precise cut and blow dry. The only thing that happened was the door was too small for me to walk straight through into the shop. They had a hard time knowing that the other door could open and they finally found someone to unlock the door. I was humiliated, for a handicapped person and a larger size customer would have to go this just to get into the shop. What if I had a walked, it would not fit through the tiny door! I'm sure that the ADA would not be happy either.

Totally worth the 1.5 hour drive! I live south of Boston and did a crazy amount of research for a micro blade artist that had natural looking results. Mackenzie's work was exactly what I was looking for plus her price was lower than what you see in the Boston area. After my first of 2 appointments (it's a 2 step process), I knew this would be a perfect spot to also get my hair cut and colored. I ended up booking my brow touch up, hair cut and color for the same day and was so happy with the results. Mackenzie gave me 3 hours of attention and really listened to what I wanted. It took almost a year to correct the ridiculous hair cut I did not ask for from this $$$ salon. The chaos in the salon did not help as walk in customers squished in -even attempting to bring beach chairs inside this narrow one room "Salon". The staff were all treated to cold drinks while the clients were bumped, moved around, and left for stretches of time for conversation with entering and exiting people. No worker can nor wants to do manicures. The worst was washing my hair and finding entire length uneven with wacky chopping of random pieces. The female stylist was younger than the

Highly recommend!! Had my bridal hair appointment along with my Mom and Sister in law. We felt beyond taken care and very comfortable with the precautions being taken for safety with Coronavirus. Kimberly was a true rockstar! We eloped and I didn’t have a hair trial, but she didn’t need one. She delivered and then some! I am new to the area and new to salon loka. I chose to meet with Adam. I have now seen him twice and let me tell you not only did he do a OUTSTANDING job coloring and cutting my hair , he is knowledgeable about what will look good on you. I put my full trust in him and I was not sorry I did. If your visiting the area or you live nearby, you should absolutely give Adam a visit!!!

You won't find a better salon than Salon Loka! Having tried countless salons in NYC I haven't found one place that matches the incredible job they do at Salon Loka!
I got married in Ogunquit last September, everything was so stress free and just such a great environment to spend your wedding morning! All of my bridesmaids looked amazing!! My bridal makeup was flawless and lasted all day! My hair looked fabulous all day! I am always so appreciative for the amazing experience at salon Loka!

You won't find a better salon in the area! Adam has done my hair several times and never fails to amazing me, always a great cut and color! I've also been super happy with my nails the last few times that Julie has done them! The happy, friendly and awesome staff and great results keep me coming back!!!

This may be the place to get your hair down but certainly not the place to get a pedicure. One of the worst in my life although my technician and the staff were very friendly. The experience was very short, just ok in overall execution and for what I paid ($50 with tip) I could have done a better job myself. Just a wait of money.

We went in on a Sunday morning before they were open and got our hair done for our wedding! Kristen and Deb worked on the 4 of us, and we all did different things but it all came out amazing! Yes it's not cheap but you will get good results and they are use to working with wedding parties. Amazing hair and make-up! They came highly recommended and it is clear why!!

I recently vacationed in Ogunquit and decided to get a beach perm at Salon Loka. The hair dresser was very sweet, but unfortunately didn't consider or perhaps was not knowledgable about my type of hair because after 2 times (kind of them to do it twice) there is very little wave. Even I know that you can't roll tons of hair in a roller and expect to get much curl- the second time she put less hair in the front, but still no wave- very disappointed that I wasted my money. I'm not recommending them for #beachwaves but can't speak for other services.

I spent my whole life trying to spend 6 dollars on a haircut and then one day I needed a haircut quick and bit the bullet and stopped into Salon Loka. I told Adam I didn't really know exactly what I wanted but he said no problem, gave me a haircut and showed me how to actually style my hair. When I got back to work everyone was freaking out about how great my hair looked. I love everyone in this Salon, they are all always so upbeat and friendly to interact with.
