Our management team works hard to take care of each property as if it were our own and ensure that every resident has a great place to call home. Amanda Jacobs, our Asset Manager and the most senior member of our team, joined Jacobs Property Management in 1995. She obtained her real estate license in 2004 and her Certified Property Manager designation in 2010.
Jake built his first home in 1950 and began buying and selling real estate shortly thereafter. Delton graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Real Estate in 1977. He and Jake worked to expand the business and by the end of that decade, Jacobs Property Management was one of the two largest Real Estate Brokerage firms in Columbia.

So sad and unfortunate to read these reviews. My girlfriend and I were considering moving in around June. However the reviews have put fear in us that even if we do our very best to keep the place clean, that we still won’t get our deposit back. I am a fair man, I know that not every place will have 5 stars from every tenant. But seeing how reviews from 5 years ago are echoing reviews from 4 months ago is concerning.

Left not happy. Rent was good which me and my roommates liked but they managed to take every bit of our $2000 deposit and charge us an extra $1400. It seems that you’re almost better off buying everything new and replacing it yourself cause it’ll be cheaper and if items aren’t cleaned to where they look brand new they are gonna replace it. We changed a set of blinds the day we moved out and they still charged us for it because of a small black spot that managed to show up on it. Some things were of course reasonable to charge us for but we were also charged for a whole new ceiling fan which

Renting from them was okay. They were fairly prompt with maintenance and the price was reasonable. But moving out....they aim to keep every possible penny of your deposit. They "replaced" entire rooms with carpet because of very small scratches due to a dog (that they already charged me $2700 for in pet rent over 3 years). They also charged $180 to "replace" 3 window screens that were broken before we even moved in.
If you decide to move into their properties, be extremely vigilant about documenting what is wrong with the property prior to move-in.

My husband and I took very good care of our rental from Jacob’s property, and while they were easy to work with renting, they were not reasonable in returning our security deposit. Our $1100 original deposit turned into a $200 return. However, I’m sure they have a reason for each deduction and an inflated price of that service to justify it.

Worked with the amazing & professional team at Jacob’s Property Management to lease my home in Columbia! They made the entire process easy, explained everything in detail, were responsive to emails & calls, and every person on the team was professional and kind! They went above and beyond expectations to get the home ready to lease! They hired quality contractors, spent time in the home to problem solve lay-out issues, and sent a team to the house during the deep freeze to make sure the pipes did not break! They are honest, have fair pricing, and are upfront about costs - there were no surprises

I started renting with Jacob's Property a little over two years ago. I came from another state and wanted something clean, safe, nice and affordable. I wasn't able to do an onsite walk through and had to go off the pictures that were on site. I was a little worried at first but I got MORE than what I was wishing for. The townhouse was in beautiful, move-in condition. I've never had one ounce of trouble or pushback from the Office Team. They are always accommodating, responsive, professional, friendly and very communicative. They will let you know when and if there are any changes to their office
