Since 1995, Nipomo Optometry has served as a dedicated and caring provider of quality vision services to Nipomo and the surrounding communities. As a patient, you can expect friendly and attentive care from our experienced team of eye care professionals. We leverage advanced diagnostic technology to provide modern eye care services, including comprehensive eye exams, vision correction, and more.
Meet the experienced and staff who make Nipomo Optometry a proud provider of vision care products and services on the Central Coast. Cindy, who is an ABO Certified Optician, joined our team in 2015 and has over 39 years of experience in the Optical field. She has worked with contact lenses, the manufacturing process of glasses, and customer service.
Dr. Palmer completed his bachelor's degree in biology at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and received his doctorate of optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2009. Upon retuning to the Central Coast in 2011 to practice optometry in Nipomo, his focus has been on early disease detection, preventative care, dry eye disease, and recommending customized vision-correcting solutions to patients.
There are many eyeglass lens options available. Dr. Ben Palmer will take your lifestyle and vision correction needs into consideration when helping you select the right lenses for your eyes. Transitions - These lenses are made of special treatments that adapt and adjust darkness to the level of surrounding light.
We offer a wide selection at our Nipomo office, and our experienced team of eye care professionals can help you find the right contacts for you. There are many contact lens options available. The wait was fairly brief & I was given lots of help collecting multiple frames to choose from so my power chair didn’t get in the way in the smaller office. They listened well to all my needs & color preferences before selecting options for me. What might have taken me half an hour to select from alone was successfully dwindled down to less than 15 minutes. I recommend Dr. Palmer since he stay up on newer technology & always makes sure you don’t have any questions left before he ends the appointment. I never feel alone in my eye care! Everyone is incredibly nice & helpful too!

Dr. Palmer and his staff are very friendly and helpful. I appreciated him going the extra mile to make sure my eyes are well taken care of. Super friendly! Seemed like they had all the up-to-date technology. Doctor was very patient, gave lots of explanations in detail, and most importantly tailored my glasses and contacts to my activities to what I need professionally plus my personal Endeavors of photography.
