Hello, my name is Anna. I am happy to meet all of you and welcome you to the Smile Institute. I find dentistry so interesting. With all the many advances that dentistry has gone through and with careful artistic planning, I hope to be part of making The Smile Institute a place that you can smile about.
Our brand new, technologically advanced practice was built with patient comfort in mind. To make your dental experience enjoyable, we have used inviting colors and comfortable chairs. As a paperless office, we hope to make your visit smooth, efficient and as digital as you'd like it to be. That means if you'd like email or text reminders, please ask.
Otherwise known as composites or compomers, consist of hard resin polymers to mimic the properties of a natural tooth. The Smile Institute can sculpt composites artistically to match the surrounding teeth. They are often chemically bonded into place and provide excellent longevity and durability. They often are used to repair a cavity or fracture due to trauma or dental disease.
Cosmetic dentistry encompasses any dental procedure that enhances and improves the beauty of your smile. Patients often request porcelain veneers or composite veneers which are hard tooth like materials that mimic the natural tooth form and color. Other patients desire their teeth whitened or bleached with an active ingredient of hydrogen or carbamide peroxide.

After many years as a patient and then getting charged $50 for a missed appointment, during the pandemic ? It wasn't even a billable appointment, it was a for a night guard fitting that my dog chewed up. I talked to the receptionist when she called and I was at work, of course since it was a Thursday. I never make appointments when I'm working. So we decided it was a mistake. But not to the Dr he said I missed an appointment in 2016 and that was my first warning and only warning. I sure hope $50 was worth losing a patient over

Dr Tang is the most thorough dentist I have ever had. He really takes the time to talk to his patients. I have a special needs son, and he was wonderful with him- patient, gentle, and got the work done- despite my son’s disabilities. I will never go anywhere else for dental care for myself and my family.

Dr. Tang is always so thorough, his quality of work is much better than anywhere else I have ever been! You can tell he takes a LOT of pride in what he does! And he explains things to me in a way I can understand! He shows me, and tells me why we need to do a certain procedure and gives me a couple of options, but offers his professional opinion as to which one will have the best outcome for my overall health! He is amazing! I will not go anywhere else, and when my kids out grow their baby teeth, they will only be seeing Dr. Tang as well!

I found the Smile Institute after moving into the area and reading a lot of Yelp reviews. I'm so glad I did! Dr Tang and his team are friendly and helpful, and always explain what they are doing (and why), so I feel like I'm a part of my care team, not someone being worked on. Their equipment is up-to-date and they have a nice waiting area with coffee, tea, bottled water, current magazines and a special activity section for little ones. Anna is very helpful in double-checking my insurance coverage before scheduling anything so there are no surprises. Highly recommended!

I had the honor to be treated by Dr. Tang at the Seattle King County Free clinic. He treated me with rare kindness. I usually have a very bad gag reflex but he angled me in such away this was not a problem. He approached filling my tooth as an artist painting a masterpiece. My tooth was very broken and some how Dr. Tang restored it into something beautiful. I usually avoid dentists out of fear they will make pain where it did not exist. Dr. Tang has restored my faith in the profession. If you are looking for a master dentist look no further then Dr. Tang.

I am glad I switched dentists a few years back. Dr. Tang is down to earth, knowledgeable, friendly, and after talking to him during several visits I can tell he is a smart businessman who actually cares about his patients (rare). I own a business a few doors down from his practice and I'm happy that he's my neighbor :)

Going back to Dr. Tang for a routine cleaning, I was again impressed with how personal and professional he is. I've been to dentists before who barely look at your teeth after the hygienist cleans them. This is NOT how Dr. Tang operates! He spends lots of time with the patient and does not skimp on time or attention.

Dr. Tang and Team are really great. I recently moved to the area and was in need of a full check up and cleaning. I was very very happy with my services. I did have a couple of cavities :( but they were fixed virtually painlessly and efficiently. While he was at it, Dr. Tang fixed a chip on my front tooth and I am astounded at how much better my smile looks. I am SO glad I went here!

2. a picture of your smile to observe any changes over time
3. full check on your gums, every. single. tooth gum line.
4. clear communication on your policy
5. when you have fillings he ENSURES that they are smooth and your teeth will set normally.
He found and could notice problems very few people have uncovered with me
