Good experience! First time getting my windows tinted. Andrew talked me through the different options he offers. Only took 2.5 hours for them to work on it, its only been one day but so far all I've seen is fine craftsmanship. With the options I went with I walked out paying $340, very happy with the price and quality (call for a more accurate quote, it only takes a few minutes on the phone).
One year update, it still holds up well, no bubbling or fading. Im happy with it!

San Diego Tint not only uses the best quality material to tint my windows , but they are experts and stand behin their work. I own 2 cars & 1 truck & have had all my vehicles tinted at San Diego tint. I have even sent my boss who's had our company trucks done at San Diego tint & we are so happy with the finished product.

I have had three cars tinted by San Diego Tint (formerly SD Tint, which based on other reviews lead me to believe this is indeed a new company, new owner in the same La Mesa location but claiming to be the same business?)
Anyhow, the first three (a Prius in 2010, a BMW in 2012 and a Lexus in 2016) all had ceramic tint and paint protection film installed by this shop at an affordable price and quality work. Now, I'm getting a new car and sent a Yelp request for a quote. The curt, immediate denial and subsequent rude response from the owner are actually probably a blessing in disguise if

I should post an update due to the lovely comments by the owner Andrew or "Drew", proving my point about poor customer service. And the big surprise is that it took 3 years for him to even care about the review. No "sorry about your experience" or "misunderstanding", just an insult? Wow. Par for the course apparently because I saw others who were not happy and his response was to lay into them, publicly berate and attack them personally like he has done here with me, all because of a poor review. That contradicts their website claiming to have "pride"

Went in on my appointme time on Thursday morning to get all the windows including the windshield tinted. The two guys working that day only had enough time to tint all the windows except the windshield. They told me it would be $480 for the nine windows minus the windshield after everything was done. I showed them my text messages with Andrew and it showed that he did confirmed the price was $480 with the windshield included for ceramic tint. The installers could not honor the price and they could not contact Andrew, because he was on vacation. The installer told me that he will let the owner know

Be forwarned, their are some great reviews, but Andrew can be difficult and short when business is good. I've had 3 cars tinted by SDTint a few years ago in their Sorrento Mesa location, flawless work. This was my first time dealing with Andrew in La Mesa. He had committed to a price and a schedule, but called up later to say a few days later that he had a schedule conflict (lacking one of his installers) but then proceeded to cancel doing business all together.
I didn't feel like a customer talking with him, not an ounce of humility, patience, or kindness.

Got my civic tinted a few months ago and am so in love with it! I was recommended this place by a friend and it does not disappoint. Andrew is super friendly and informative. It was initially difficult to get a hold of him but if you leave a message, he will call back promptly.
Dropped my car off in the morning and it was ready by the early afternoon. The tint also comes with lifetime warranty as long as you keep the documents/receipt. Highly recommend!!

This place was amazing. Professional. Communication was great and car was done same day. Got two cars done here. Honda Civic hatchback and BMW 320i XDrive. Full tint at 20%.
Went with what was recommended. Taped ups window panel so we wouldn't use. Andrew explained every thing in detail from types of tint to length of time to dry and when to wash. Worth every penny. Keep your receipt and folder it comes in or it nulls your warranty. Highly recommend.

This business owner is a liar and a cheat! Do not waste your time or money going to San Diego Tint! My tint job bubbled on my back window, which you can see from the photos, and the shop has refused to replace the tinting because Andrew stated they need the little envelope that my receipt came in. How does that have anything to do with the fact that I have the receipt, which clearly states what was done and what kind of tint was used! It was GL 20, which you can easily read on the receipt.

Andrew and his team are phenomenal at what they do! It was only minutes after our first meeting that Andrew helped me to set up a complete plan for what was going to be done for my cherished 89' Ford Aerostar and when. The final result is a very sharp, pristine and purely professional looking tint. I've gotten plenty of comments on my old van and have already recommended their services to plenty of people! Andrew is a stand up guy, very friendly, knowledgeable about his craft and even more passionate about what he does. The key to good business is good people, and San Diego Tint has just that.

Called Friday and got an appointment for Monday AM. Showed up and the owner Andrew was expecting me. Me not knowing anything about types of tints and shades, he explained to me what would be best for my specific vehicle. They called around 12n to give me an update on the vehicle and when I showed up by 3pm the car was ready and looking great and Unlike other tint places he has an actual shop he does the work in.

The owner was incredibly helpful and engaged with any questions we had. They did an amazing job on the tint for my 2016 Mazda 3. The price was affordable and definitely worth it. This place was recommended to me by a friend.
Moreover, I am so thankful for the diligent work done because there was no bubbles, lint, fingerprints, or any imperfections! It was done perfectly and I could not be happier with the result! Thank you for cleaning my car doors too!!

This place is Amazing!!!! Andrew, the owner, is very professional and personable. I called about 8 when they opened on a Saturday. He told me he was booked but would let me know if he had a cancellation. Not too long after he call me back and said I could bring my car in. Walked in the business and he was very welcoming! He checked the car out, we went over what I wanted thoroughly, and told me how long it would take. I left the car, he called me back in a couple hours and told me when my car would be ready. I rated San Diego Tint with five stars because they deserve it. Andrew is very knowledgeable and helped me find what tinting option was best for me. Customer service was great, he treated me with respect, and did not try to sell the most expensive tint. Would recommend to anyone that does not know about tints or just wants a quality job on their car.

Andrew and his crew has tinted 4 of my cars and has done an amazing job. He's very knowledgeable and tells you which tint works best on the type of car you have, as European cars differ from Japanese cars as far as the color tint goes. Both my wife's car and I have factory tint on it and wanted it to further darken it. He's quick, professional and provides excellent customer service.
