My husband went to this facility in bad shape. The case managers Maureen Gill & Elysia Acosta were EXCELLENT! They kept me updated every week on his condition, any change they were contacting me and my family, the floor staff was great as well. My husband was clean, bed changes, up out of the bed and responding much better. He was there for 3 months and I have no complaints. This is a great place to have your love one at.

I spent 3+ months there after my 11/27/2017 stroke and found everything about this hospital truly amazing...the nurses, staff & therapy was exceptional. Even the food was great. The only complaint I had was the small, 15" TV in the rooms. I got home just in time to watch the 2018 superbowl on my 48" tV in my own living room! I was blessed for the treatment I received at Helen Haynes. They even taught me how to walk & talk again at age 55...wow!!

I had a spinal infarct and went to Helen Hayes Hospital as part of my recovery.
So grateful for all the staff (Nurses, Aides) on unit 2a who were so kind and helpful to me during my stay.
The therapists are also top notch and really want to help you succeed. I wish I could give this place 10000 stars

I spent 2 months at Helen Hayes following delicate spinal surgery (April & May 2017). The care I received surpassed any other medical institution I have experienced. The doctors, nurses and CNA's were top notch. I worked closely with PT & OT and was happy with their care. As a bonus the place is gorgeous. The view from my window looked over the Hudson River.
My husband and I live on Long Island. He was able to stay in the dormitory and avoid many 50 mile one way trips which allowed us to see each other more often.
I am doing well now and thank Helen Hayes for contributing to a large part of my

I had been looking forward to a professional rehab center after my knee replacement surgery at HSS. Hospital for Special Surgery was fantastic. Helen Hayes however kind the nursing staff and therapists are is very disorganized.
They have the equipment and the staff is trained on many devices but they were never on time and 30 minute therapy were more like 20 minutes of actual therapy work. I made good progress but that was because I pushed myself. I was having blood pressure issues after working out but only a couple of therapists cared to check to see how my pressure was doing.

I went to this hospital after having surgery on my hip and being involved in a serious car accident. I was nervous to go. However, upon arrival, I was treated with the respect and care I desperately wanted. The nurses here are extremely attentive and caring to your needs, as well as the aides. The doctors are phenomenal and don't judge and are there to help you and do their very best to get you to be physically your best. The food was excellent for a hospital-rehabilitation facility, the physical therapy, occupational therapy fantastic! Joe and Connie were fantastic people, as well as the doctors

I've been receiving outpatient care here for several months for physical and outpatient therapy. I am currently recovering from a dual stroke event suffered six months ago.
The staff is very experienced and well trained with Neuro based patient care and treatment. The hospitals has all the latest rehab tools and therapeutic equipment. I have been able to use equipment not readily available at other facilities.
The facility is always kept neat and clean, you'll never worry about catching a stray germ or virus.
The lobby level has a nice cafeteria and gift shop which is a nice place for your family
