Owen and I had been working with our dad ever since we were able to hold a flashlight and hand tools. We worked nights, on weekends and school breaks repairing, replacing, and installing doors.
He always encouraged us to pursue our own interests. It's ironic that we both ended up at the family business. Our customers and co-workers make Oshiro Door an enjoyable place to work. I cannot thank Dean enough for his kindness, follow through, and help over the phone without charging me .
Others were right. I needed help on my automatic electric sliding gate that suddenly stopped working. We replaced all the batteries on the remote, checked that it was getting electricity and found that it would not be a simple quick fix. I called several other gate companies, even one that I had used it the past. Only one called back and wanted to charge me a crazy mark up for a possible antenna or pushed me to buy a new motor for $3500 when we didn't even know that it was broken

Called them yesterday July 27, 2021. Got a call the next morning that a technician will be stopping by about half an hour. I explained my problem and he started to replace the broken springs and severed cables. He explained everything that was done and what maintenance I should do in the future. Now my garage door goes up and down smoothly and evenly. Great job. Mahalo, Warren

Most excellent service from a family owned business. Spoke to Dean and he scheduled Roy to service our automatic gate. Roy came that day, could not fix it then but came back the next day to fix it. Very timely service and much appreciated.
Find genuine owner operated small business for all of your needs - these are the folks we need to support in our communities. The large corporate entities cannot ever come close to the level of service and genuine caring about their business and your satisfaction than small family businesses or owner operators.

They take more than a month to provide simple proposals. They also mentioned they couldn't do a lot of things that most door replacement companies can do. Love to support small, local family businesses. But after several years of giving this company a chance, finally decided they are not worth the time.

The torsion spring on our garage door broke late last night. I called Oshiro RK Door Service first thing in the morning. Very nice person answered and she took my information. I was expecting a call later in the day, but received a call from Dean within 10 minutes. He was extremely pleasant and accommodating and scheduled my repair for 9:30 am. Wes arrived and he was an extension of Dean - courteous and accommodating. He fixed the problem quickly and serviced the door system. Problem solved with the door running smoother and quieter than before. I would HIGHLY recommend Oshiro RK Door Service,

Oshiro RK is fantastic. One of two springs on my garage door split and the door would not open. A quick phone call at 5pm resulted in Wes coming the next morning at 9am. Professional from go. Wes quickly fixed the problem and was on his way..
If your door falls quickly it is probably the springs. Double wide garage doors are heavy so don't try to lift them on your own. Both springs are always replaced at the same time.

Oshiro RK is excellent in their automatic gate service. I called Dean and he had Roy out the next day. He was able to fix the frozen roller quickly and we couldn't have asked for a nicer person to deal with. Everyone I have spoken with is very helpful and polite. Mahalo for your help. My garage door opener came off of the garage last night as I was leaving for a meeting. I called the company that I had worked with in the past twice after promising to call back twice with no result I finally called R K Oshiro. Dean got back to me right away. My wife's car was stuck in the garage and I mainly just wanted to get it out of the garage so we could use it this weekend. He had no residential guys available so he sent two of his commercial people over. They fixed the problem in less than 1/2 an hour!!! I was so stoked!!! Will call them again in the future!!!!

I was in a bind - day before Halloween and garage door not closing. Called two other garage door repair companies, left messages and no calls returned. Called RK Oshiro, spoke with a human (!) who called me back within an hour with an ETA of a technician. Wes was dispatched, very pleasant, diagnosed the problem and repairs were completed right away! WOW - I wish I knew of RK Oshiro earlier, and will be calling and recommending them from this day forward. So nice and refreshing to experience excellent customer service! Oshiro RK Door Service is the best! My gate was giving me problems past 2 weeks so I'd called more than a few (6+) gate service companies and, to my disbelief, I could not even get a courtesy return call from any of them. Very frustrating... My neighbor recommended Oshiro and they called me back very promptly and came out and fixed the problem on the first visit. They are the best. I will not call any other gate company from hereon.

I have worked in property management for 8 years. This company by far is the worst company I have ever tried working with. For a month and a half I have been calling requesting someone to come look at my door to give me an estimate. Keep in mind I need a commercial metal door for my property. They kept saying they were busy and they would contact me soon when they could send someone. After a month and a half they said they were only taking care of repair jobs and did not have time for estimates. I then requested information on ball park/general costs. I heard something that sounded like a ton of bricks falling.
I just dismissed it as my neighbor who runs a construction business out of his house next door.
When I tried to open my garage door when leaving, it sounded like a dying wind up toy like the kind they had before the internet. The garage door wouldn't budge.
I called a few places listed on Yelp.
The lady from the first place I called said she would transfer me to the lady who was filling in for the other lady who does garage doors who is out today. Riddle me that.
The second place I tried just went to voicemail.
