Mary has been involved in the food service and catering industry from the very start of her career. Born and raised in CT, she attended Johnson and Wales University and graduated with both Culinary Arts and Food Service Management degrees. Mary has worked her way up through the ranks of Server, Event Captain, Production Manager and Sales Manager.

Riverhouse Catering is the exclusive caterer for the Connecticut Science Center and the New Britain Museum of American Art, as well as a preferred caterer for several of the most unique settings throughout Connecticut - Hartford Boathouse, Mattatuck Museum, Glastonbury Boathouse, Mark Twain House, and Hill-Stead Museum to name a few.

This catering company hosted our recent work holiday party. They couldn’t have been less professional. The food was cold, biscuits were hard and tasteless. The caterers seemed upset with us, not one smile all night. The bar ran out of the signature drink and then they started stalking the guests and randomly cutting people off. 45 min prior to the end of the party they closed the bar!
For the record, this was an all adult party, while people were drinking we were all respectable, no one was sick, fighting or falling down. I have never felt so judged and offended by a catering company. They ruined

Outside of some odd conversations with a couple of the waiting staff/management because a lack of signs, this place was extremely delightful for a wedding recently attended. While it's out in 'the boonies' of Connecticut, it was a great place to go to and they did a tremendous job hosting the entire wedding. Food was great, waiters and waitresses were great, and the venue was in outstanding condition.

Went here for a wedding. As a former event planner, I loved the layout of this place. Probably my favorite feature was the central bar that can be accessed from different rooms and basically any part of the building. Nice big deck/balcony with view of the river. Food service was timely and above average quality. I could see holding any number of events here whatever the occasion.

One word - AMAZING! Everything from the staff, to the venue, to the food was above and beyond every review we read and every expectation we set. The staff was incredible, always accommodating, always smiling, thoughtful, smart, and so much fun! The girls we worked with (Hattie, Kelley, and Mary) were a blast, and they're not just bridal coordinators, they became our friends! Our day was perfect and the Riverhouse staff is responsible for a day full of success.
