Nutrition For a Lifetime wants to bring you the most current information and resources to help you manage your health and the health and future well-being of your family. We are longtime friends who share a passion for healthy living! With our combined experience in corporate training and management, and nutrition education working with all age groups, healthy and chronically ill persons, we have helped and inspired.

Here you will find our latest blog posts on topics we feel will help you on your journey to better health. Start the week off with a plan Set aside time to talk with your family and plan out meals and snacks for the week. It can be helpful to write out a weekly menu and keep it on the fridge where everyone is able to see it.

We specialize in "Whole-Foods, Plant-based Diets" but desire to work with anyone who wants to develop a long-term healthy lifestyle. We believe that we need to go back to the basics like our mothers taught us growing up.
I have been happily married to Mike for 35 years and we have 2 married children and 1 grand daughter and 2 grandsons. The Navy brought us to Virginia Beach in 1984. When we first arrived in Virginia, I started getting into weight lifting and found myself signed up for a bodybuilding competition to help deal with stress while Mike was serving our country on a 6 month deployment.
We are very happy to announce that we have partnered with Unify Health & Fitness Studio in Virginia Beach. They are your one stop resource for Personal Training, Cardio Exercise, Physical Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Massage Therapy, and Nutritional Counseling. They have amazing and caring people working for them who are truly passionate about what they do.

Oh how I love Cathy!! 🤩. She goes above and beyond!! She takes the time to go into detail and explains why food may or may not help you. She is remarkably knowledgeable in nutrition. The biggest part for me was the fact that she is so easy to talk to. She makes you feel that she is a long-time friend that you haven't seen in a long while. I learned so much from her with ONE SINGLE VISIT!! I saw her again last week, and she never ceases to amaze me. I needed to GAIN weight, but I have pancreatic issues and a Type 2 diabetic. I needed to be eating a low-fat diet for my pancreas and cutting sugar

Cathy Bowers is an excellent registered dietitian who is an expert in plant based diet. She has seen the results of plant based diet in her life and her family. She works with people individually, and companies or doctor's offices who want to have a registered dietitian on call. She takes insurance and is private pay. If you have questions on how to eat regarding weight lost, diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. She is the person to call and use.
