I have no idea why so many people rated this place highly. What a joke. I texted them with all the information and the owner decided IGNORED the request after confirming. I would really appreciate if they can at least let me know ahead of time if they do not have the specific piece of glass in stock.

I've had my car windows busted more than enough times in the Bay Area; however, this was probably one of the better services. Kevin came to my job and worked on my windows while I was finishing my workday, and he came with everything needed to vacuum up the pesky broken and repaired my windows with affordable windows. I will definitely recommend him and even use his service again.

I called Up to Date for a quote when my car window was smashed in. Super friendly from the get go and offered a reasonable price. Flexible with the schedule when I needed to change my appt. The waiting room has wifi so I was able work while I waited for the repair. James chatted with me as he rang up the bill and suggested some car insurance tips, so the whole thing felt friendly and not simply transactional. Despite spending $$ to repair the damage from vandalism... I left feeling cheerful! Also, grab a vietnamese sandwich while you're in the neighborhood.

These guys are incredible! I was in Oakland visiting a friend for the weekend. My car window was smashed in, and I was incredibly frustrated. Safelight's quote was around 400 and I wanted to yelp for some other places. I called the next morning, and Kevin provided me with a competitive quote, and told me he'd drive over to my airbnb in 30 minutes. He arrived with my new window, installed it in 30, and even cleared and cleaned the backseat of potential glass. HIGHLY recommend as it's uncommon for other car window companies to drive out to you.

AMAZING.. seriously. Woke up to my car broken into with not knowing how it was going to get fixed. We called kevin and he was so kind, professional, and quick. He came in such a timely manner and was ready to help. My window was shattered into pieces, glass all over the car and he came to vacuum it all up and replaced the window. My car looks better than before! If you need your windows, windshield fix I highly recommend. You won't be disappointed. Thanks!!

I can't say enough good things about Kevin. Excellent work, great availability, and so friendly and knowledgeable. My BMW had the SAME window smashed twice this year, and they came out and fixed it both times. So easy. And then he even helped me install new side view mirrors after they had cracked in the plastic casings! Because of Kevin, my car looks good as new even after more than 10 years on the road!

I recently used Up To Date Auto Glass to service my shattered windshield. They were prompt, professional, and cost less than Safelite. It was very easy to schedule an appointment the same day I called. They also came to my apartment which was a huge relief since my shattered windshield left shards of glass all over my dashboard and I was nervous about the crack getting worse while driving. They cleaned out the broken glass without scratching the leather and they were quick! I absolutely recommend this company and I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

I went hiking in one of my usual hiking spot but I had just bought a new car. Upon returning to my vehicle I saw that two of the windows had been broken.
It was a Saturday around 12:30 and looking at the glass replacement options near me my options were very limited as everyone was closing around 2 and were closed on Sunday.
My sister had gotten her car broken into on July 4th and had found this business, the only one who was open and willing to fix her window that day. So she gave me the number and luckily he had windows for me and could come in an hour and a half.

Kevin took a stressful
situation--broken window, wallet stolen, glove box askew--and made everything great. We made an appointment and to make sure there was no confusion he had me text photos of the car and endow yo he replaced. He came to my home and let me know that he was running late via text so I didn't have to wait outside. Not only did he fix my broken passenger window and cleaned up the glass, he noticed that my rear view mirror had not been placed correctly when we had had another repair (out of state) and he fixed that as well.
Great service and a nice person as well.

On two separate occasions last year, not even 4 months apart, my Jeep compass had the rear, along with the front, and rear passenger windows busted out in Oakland, of which, one was in front of my job in the parking lot, and the other was on a nearby street near a Korean Restaurant off of Broadway in Oakland.
When the first time it happened, I didn't know what to do, on such short notice. I googled, and within the first 5 search results the company popped up.

My car had BOTH shotgun and shotgun rear passenger windows smashed on Skyline Blvd in Oakland and I needed windows fast.
Kevin (owner and window tech) was polite, friendly and thorough in his repair and service. Through no fault of his own (COVID times) he was a bit later than he quoted, but when he arrived he was fast, professional, thorough and amazing. The car is perfect and it was fairly reasonably priced.

7pm on a Friday night someone decides to bust out the glass of our Subaru and steal a backpack with wallet glasses medicine and other important documents..
Not only is this the worst possible time of day and day but also the location as we are away from home picking up our infant from childcare.
We needed help fast. Unfortunately subaru windows are hard to find. But when we called these guys they found the glass, came to the house and replaced and cleaned everything up in less than 18 hours.
Many other repairers couldn't track down the glass but these guys got it done. Hands down the

Our insurance recommended multiple mobile repair shops that were booked for the following week and had bad reviews on Yelp.
After some quick research we decided to give Kevin at UTD Auto Glass a call. He was able to give us a fast quote and came by the very next day and had our window replaced in roughly two hours.
Although I'm hoping this won't happen to us again I would go with Kevin again *should* our window get smashed by some crook again.

I had my window smashed on Fourth of July and they were the only place to answer my phone call that day and schedule for the next morning. They came to my house for the service and it was quick. They vacuumed all the glass out of my car and gave me a little flash light and car charger! Highly recommend.
In addition, the service was almost $100 cheaper than the quote I got from Safelite.

My car window was smashed the night before Christmas Eve, and it was beginning to rain when I discovered it around 6:30am. I found Kevin on google, he answered & gave me a quote asap, and he came by 7:45am. He worked in the rain, vacuumed all the glass, fixed my window in about an hour which was perfect . He charged $275 which was $75 more than I was quoted elsewhere, but worth it given how fast he came, USA window replacement, and the fact that it was the day before Christmas. He also waived the tax which I appreciated.
