Services
Non-surgical hair replacement involves applying a thin, light, transparent membrane to the scalp which is infused with human hair. This membrane is then attached to the scalp and woven in with the existing hair to create a very natural effect. This approach allows the hair in the membrane to be matched perfectly with the existing hair, in terms of color, density and direction.
There are several treatment options available for those experiencing medically related hair loss. Some men choose to wear a hat, while others prefer a hair prosthesis or, perhaps, both. When custom-made under the supervision of a specialist, hairpieces and replacements can meet the very real needs of selected patients.

I. Have been coming to Tom since I lived at Kinderhook Lake I needed a barber and he was the only one I found and when he told me appointments only I knew I found the right one. I was in my 40s now I am close to 83 and live near Crossgates Mall and take two CDTA busses to get to Him and will until I leave this earth, He thinks I am joking when I told him his name will be mentioned in my Obit one day I am not. He is not only my barber I found out he is a damn good listener if he reads this I can hear him laughing,..... Never retire Tom or I will haunt you ; )

I've been a customer of Thom's Unisex Salon since high school in the 60's. Tom's a great guy, a real artist in styling, always has a current library of magazines and the day's Times Union, but best of all his shop is private, by appointment only, and he's always on time. So if you don't want to sit around cooling your heels in a long queue waiting for whomever's ahead of you just to get your hair cut, then Thom's is definitely the great place to go. Personally, I can't stand waiting to get my haircut, hence the 30+ year's I've stopped in for a shampoo and style and good conversation at Thom's.
