Dr. Francisco A. Kerdel graduated from the University of London, St. Thomas's Hospital in 1979. He works in Coral Gables, FL and specializes in dermatology. Dr. Kerdel is affiliated with the University of Miami Hospital. Dr. Kerdel is also the Director of the Dermatology Inpatient Unit at Larkin Community Hospital, the only dermatology inpatient unit in Florida and one of the very few in the United States.
A physician specializing in dermatology, Dr. Frank Don works at Florida Academic Dermatology Center. He earned his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University. Currently serving the community of Coral Gables, FL, Dr. Don is residency trained in dermatology at Wellington Regional Medical Center.
At Florida Academic Dermatology Center, we provide research and educational programs in an effort to further enhance post-graduate dermatology training and to offer our patients access to new treatments. In order to make this possible, we have a dedicated research and education team that diligently works to create and maintain our high quality programs.
Catherine Gomez has been a part of the Florida Academic Dermatology Center team since 2004. She graduated from Florida International University with a BA in Business Administration and Management in 2004. Catherine handles all day-to-day operations at the practice and is the key person in handling patient relations.

I called the practice yesterday in order to get an appointment as soon as possible. The lady on the phone was very professional and helpful and provide an appointment for the same day at 3:15pm. I was at the practice on time and after completing some form I wait about 10 min more or less. The doctor took the time to speak to me and provide me a treatment. I started yesterday nigh and since then, I have seen some improvements. Very happy with the practice, personnel and doctor. I highly recommend the place.

The pharmacy sent the prescription back to the office because the doctor* forgot to write for what body part the cream goes on. How in the world can you forget to write that simple instruction is beyond me. Maybe these guys are having a bad day with the office computer system, but that was really unprofessional. I called three times and each doctor has a designated assistant that can't answer questions amongst other doctors so if they are on lunch your basically screwed for lack of a better word.

Amazing doctors and friendly staff. I went here for a second opinion and i’m so glad I did. I was prescribed two medications for my rosacea on m trace and i’m so much better! My face is less red, swollen, and irritated. I felt welcomed and my concerns were addressed. Thank you, Thank you, Dr. Don and his assistant.

I didn’t have a good experience with Doctor Don. He didn’t show any type of sympathy for my concerns about my dermatological situation. He asked me the reasons for my visit but he barely paid attention. He injected me something in my neck for a keloid I was not complaining about. I was actually complaining for some rash I had around the keloid in my actual skin, for over 10 years. He looked very busy during the 5 minutes he stayed in the room and made me feel he was making me a favor by seeing me that day. The nurse on her side had already told me her diagnosis for my visit even before the

When I called for an appointment the young lady was very pleasant and professional and due to a cancellation I was able to get an appointment the very next day. Once I got to the office, the waiting time with no more than 10 minutes. I was diagnosed and within 20 minutes I was out of there again. Everybody was very pleasant and professional. If I ever have a dermatological problem in the future I will definitely come back.

Visited the practice to remove a painful cyst. The staff awesome!! From the moment you get in to the prep from the nurses and physicians assistant. They are efficient and professional. Doctor F. Kerdel is an excellent doctor. He is very professional and efficiently performs the procedures with little or no discomfort. I would definitely visit them again.. I chose them based on Google reviews and they exceeded my expectations.
