Our Holiday Spectacular Fundraiser is the perfect event for your entire family during the holidays. We then wrap up our season with our June Dance Concert to showcase what our students have learned throughout the year! Add more performance opportunities by joining our Company! Our largest room, approx. 40' x 40', is located upstairs. Includes solid maple hardwood sprung floor, A/C, windows, large mirrors on one wall, access to sound system with auxiliary cord. Wow, this place is wonderful! They offer an array of classes at a fair price. The administrative staff is also above and beyond with service, supporting us throughout the registration process. Our kid is in a weekly class and loving every second!

My daughter has been wanting to take a tumbling class to learn skills for cheer. Everywhere was sooo expensive. Studio M is VERY reasonable and the quality of the classes are great. Neil is so kind to the kids and really spends time with each one. I highly recommend this studio.

Having danced as a younger woman, I decided to return now that I'm older (over 55!) and wanted to increase my exercise. What a great experience to be part of a small group of "mature" ladies and gentlemen who are supportive, have a great time, laugh a lot, and thoroughly enjoy the class. The teacher is great, the class is fun, and we all get plenty of exercise in our one-hour tap class - what a hoot! I encourage other mature adults to give it a try - all levels are catered to and everyone is so nice!

Such a great 1st time experience! Facility was clean, organized and offered COVID precautions. Staff were friendly & helpful! The instructor for the Tiny Tumblers class was awesome with the little ones and was able to make it fun while teaching the basics! My daughter said she loved it...and we will be back next week!

I found this amazing dance studio and decided to try out the 1st dance class for free. I signed up my daughter for hip hop and ballet class. First class is free no pressure to sign up. Dance studio is very clean, staff are friendly and prices are great! My son decided to try a class last minute and the staff were super friendly allowed my son to try the hip hop class. Due to Covid parents were restricted from entering the studio but nevertheless the studio provided us with a zoom link. We watched the zoom link and the instructions are very professional! My kids really enjoyed so we decided to enroll

My daughter (3 year old) loved her first day of dance and tumbling today so much so that she cried when we left. Simple process: you are able to do a trial for any type of class before you commit to however many per week, decent rates too at $62 per month if you sign up for 1 class a week. It’s a good quality instruction from a long line of dance instructors, who are engaged in your kid’s instruction. I can see they offer a lot for kids of every age, so I’m looking forward to my daughter growing up with this studio. Thanks!

I'm a former student of MMSD, and I'm just trying to prevent my same experience from happening to anyone else. I went there for almost my whole life, having only switched 3 years ago and I'm so happy I did. When I first got to my new studio I realized just how awful the training at MMS was. When compared to the girls at my new studio, I looked like I had never danced a day in my life. I started saying that, because was so embarrassed. Now having been at my new studio, I've improved so much. This is the first year that I feel like I'm actually at the same level as my peers

Best.Dance.Studio.Ever! By the way I am using my moms yelp to express how much I love my dance studio. I have been taking dance lessons here for almost over two years and I love it. All the staff is very kind and teachers are great at getting kids to be the great dancers they want to be. I started out with a 6-9 jazz class, and now am doing their jazz, ballet and performance company classes! Performance company is a great experience! We get to travel to events, dance conventions, and stuff like the OC fair and knotts berry farm! This is the best dance studio to go to and I just love love love love

The administration is horrendous and rude. I want to be clear the teacher was great and I don't want any of my negativity to reflect poorly on her. I registered my 3yo daughter for a "trial class" on the website, which let me select her age appropriate class at 10:15am on a Saturday. The website did not list a charge for this class or the trial, nor did the confirmation email. I received a 2nd confirmation email the Friday before the class, which still said 10:15am and no mention of cost. At 10:13am, when I finally found parking and was unloading my daughter I received a call

Hands down, the BEST dance studio in Long Beach. I danced here from age 4 until my 20's (now 37) and if i lived closer I would still take classes. My dance education through MMSDance was always a positive and learning experience and because of them I had my own dance studio for 10 years and currently still runs huge show and teach dance all over Southern California. I am very proud to come from this fabulous studio and I would send my children here in a heartbeat.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place, yet! My daughter has been taking dance classes here, for three years. AMAZING place! Incredible teachers and staff that deftly walk that very fine line of high professionalism and "feels like family". The dance instruction is superb, the recitals and shows are impressive...and yet they still manage to make everyone feel like family and close friends.
Additionally, they are always upfront with any and all fees (which are reasonable) so there are no surprises, mid-year. I cannot say enough good things about this place- LOVE it.

My daughter has been at this same studio since she was 2 1/2. She is now 8 and still enjoys her classes, teachers and awesome performances and shows. I've seen plenty of kids leave to go to other studios only to return to this one because it's just the perfect balance of fun and discipline.
Make no mistake, this is a serious studio and I see plenty of the older kids go on to college scolarships, but the atmosphere is not heavy and no one cracks the whip (other than my daughter doing a few push-ups which I love!)

DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS TO THE HIP-HOP CLASS! The teacher does not seem to have any experience working with children. She singles out kids and yells at them in front of everyone. I observed this type of behavior on numerous occasions. I observed this once and thought that maybe it was a bad day. I spoke to the owner and they promised it would never happen again. But I observed it a second time and was really appalled. There are ways to properly discipline kids, but yelling at them in front of all their peers and in front of all the parents, when they are 5-6 years old, is pathetic. I am a paying

We got a great deal on classes with the livingsocial coupon and we couldn't be happier with this place. Our daughter loves it here and can't wait to be a part of what will be her first recital! She 6 and takes the jazz/tap combo and she loves her teacher and made some friends.
The staff is great, professional and very kind. I appreciate this since the last place we took her to was not so great in that department.
It has only been about a month, but I am a huge fan...

The best show I have seen all year!...That's how I would describe about 30 kids doing "Attitude Checks" during their hiphop routine! Tooo Cute!!!
I registered my 6 year old son in the Hiphop class on Saturdays. Although he takes Tae Kwon Do, his first experience at a dance studio was scary since most of the children had already been practicing the routine and knew what to do. However, the instructor, Bea, had a way of making him feel comfortable & part of the group. She seemed to really enjoy the energy of the children and allowed them to express themselves naturally as well

I cannot say enough great things about Alexis, the creative movement teacher. She has been sooo patient with my little one. My little one loves the class! This is the first time I have ever left her alone in a class, and I feel that she was put at ease right away with Alexis...and I am so grateful....
