Downey Dance Center is THE Dance Studio of Downey. Owned by Belinda Lands, former owner of B's Dance Place, DDC offers a variety of classes for all ages and levels. We have highly trained, passionate teachers ready to produce dancers that are well equipped to go out into the dance world with a sense of pride and respect for their art.
Whether we provide a place for a fun hobby or training for a career in dance, your dancer will be taught important skills for character building in and out of the dance studio. Arts education is such an important component of a well-rounded child's life and we are honored to be a part of it!

Services
All dancers will be required 1 chaperone (at least 18 years of age) to be with them backstage at all times. Makeup and hair tutorials will be given to ensure all dancers are prepared for the recital. We pride ourselves in a very professional look!. All dancers must be in class the Month before the recital to keep their spot in the routine.

Unfortunately, this place was not for us. I had my 4-year old signed up for creative movement and although she really liked it; I felt as though she wasn't being taught enough nor was there any kind of enthusiasm from the teacher. I appreciated that they took time to individually teach specific dance moves to each child, but meanwhile they do that, the other students spend a good amount of time just sitting down doing nothing. The 3 stars are for affordability, cleanliness, and because my daughter liked it, but for me it wasn't worth it when I noticed how much time she spent sitting down

We have been taking my younger one to DDC for almost 3-4 year now. It's been great. The staff is friendly and make you feel welcome as a parent. Dance teachers are really good at what they do and provide a wide range of options for your child to progress. Competition is there if that's an interest for families, but is not pressured or focused on too much so if people just want to do recreational dance that is great. If competition eventually becomes an interest, their company teams do well and become big parts of your dancer's life. Looking forward to many more years as part of the

I've been taking my daughter here for 5 months now. She is currently taking Ballet, Tap 2, and Tumbling. It is our first time attending a dance studio and I am very pleased we chose this one. Friendly staff and wonderful teachers. They even have a room for the parents with big TVs so they can watch our kids during their practice. They also offer private classes and monthly raffles. Parking is good, and there's a Starbucks just a cross street away. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great dance studio.

My son takes a tumbling class with Ms. Brianne. He really likes her and we feel she's amazing with him and the other children. If I could take the class I would lol.
The location is great and the price for the month is reasonable. Also, It's not just for girls so bring the boys they'll have just as much fun! :-)

My daughters enjoy DDC as much as I do as their parent because the instructors are strict yet patient and caring. I have noticed how fast students progress through their program. What sold me to enroll my daughters at this studio were the productions they put together, for showcases, recitals and competitions. The routines are spectacular and the song choices are age appropriate and up to date with what's hot on today's playlists. Parking is ample and located in the same location as Jack in the Box on Bellflower and Imperial. The lobby when you first walk in is small and the waiting room

Never been here this review is purely for terrible phone customer service. I called to ask about a preschooler class after seeing on their website that they have preschooler dance classes. Someone answers the phone and I say I'm interested in enrolling my daughter in the class they offer for preschoolers. The girl in the phone says "what?" Then says "this is a dance school." I explain that I know and I'm calling about dance classes for a three year old. She says they have a Thursday toddler class. I say that per the website there is a Wednesday class and that is the
