In simplest terms, a subluxation a.k.a. Vertebral Subluxation) is when one or more of the bones of your spine (vertebrae) move out of position and create pressure on, or irritate spinal nerves. Spinal nerves are the nerves that come out from between each of the bones in your spine. This pressure or irritation on the nerves then causes those nerves to malfunction and interfere with the signals traveling over those nerves.
This is a representation of one type of subluxation. A subluxation, as defined by the Association of Chiropractic Colleges is: "A subluxation is a complex of functional and/or structural and/or pathological articular changes that compromise neural integrity and may influence organ system function and general health."

After unsuccessful treatment (2+ months) at a different chiropractic and wellness center I was desperate to find a more professional, caring doctor who could reduce my constant pain! Dr. Vaughn was the answer to my prayers, literally. My first appointment he spent an hour with me doing several different muscular and nerve tests, took x-rays where needed, and taught me a lot about my body and misalignments. I felt he cares about me as a person and my concerns, and I felt at ease immediately. Within 1 month of treatment my pain is gone. I can't believe it. It is night and day how much better my treatment

I have been seeing chiropractors since 1997, all over the country. I am a retired disabled veteran with numerous back, neck, spine issues and sometimes refered to as humpty dumpty lol. Doc Vaughn doesnt treat you like cattle, he takes his time and ensures you get relief. You may have a bit of a wait if he has a patient with an issue, because he isnt going to rush them out the door to get to the next patient. Trust me..it is worth the wait.

My back was totally jacked for well over a year. I could hardly walk without excruciating pain. Dr Vaughn zeroed in on my chronic issues, then designed a personalized treatment program for me. It took a good number of treatments but the results were so worth it. He fixed me up better than I had hoped. Great bedside manner and funny too! Seriously, check him out if you are suffering. If it takes multiple treatments like mine, stick with it!

Our experience with Dr Vaughn and Judy was awesome. Friendly professional office. Dr Vaughn listened to us and educated us on our bodies as well as diet. He had a treatment plan for us and He was very supportive. We were driving 3.5 hrs for treatment but it was worth it! I would highly recommend Dr Vaughn!!

Dr. Vaughn and Judy are two of the most compassionate people I've ever met! I have been going to Dr. V's practice for several years now and thanks to his thorough care and compassionate, I'm not in pain anymore.
In their office they offer so many different types of treatment, including traction (spinal decompression) which is hard to find due to the expense of the machine. I've never felt so cared for at a doctor's office, whether it's a physical pain or an emotional pain, Dr. V and Judy are there for you. They've got your back! (Ha Ha! :) ) Thanks for everything y'all!!

Dr. Vaughn is great! I had never gotten adjusted before and was honestly scared of the idea. Then when I got pregnant I started having excruciating back pain. I tried everything. After many friends encouraged me to see a chiropractor and the pain was getting out of control I finally gave in. A friend recommended Dr. Vaughn. After just a few weekly visits the pain went down drastically. Dr. Vaughn is a life saver! I think I would have ended up bed ridden the last couple of months of my pregnancy if it hadn't been for him.
