The structure at Visions residential is a safe, supportive, and intensive program filled with daily activities that help the resident come to terms with their problems and begin to make positive choices.
Services
In treatment, adolescents must be approached differently than adults because of their unique developmental issues, contradictions in their values and belief systems, and environmental considerations (e.g., strong peer influences). Visions' treatment philosophy to addressing complex issues relies on a multi-modal approach and team including family, previous treatment professionals, teachers, community experts, and Visions' unparalleled clinicians.
Visions Treatment Programs help teens throughout the entire treatment process, from assessment to long-term continuous care, and everything in between. We combine modalities and incorporate different programs in a teen's treatment, based on their needs and circumstances. Visions Treatment Programs vary from diagnostic to therapeutic, to supportive.
At Visions Treatment Centers, we specialize in providing treatment through our comprehensive and supportive teen residential treatment programs. Staffed with experienced and supportive professionals, each facility provides a variety of programs tailored around disorder type, symptom severity, and a thorough initial assessment.
Mental health treatment focuses on addressing the symptoms of a mental disorder via therapy and medication while helping teens develop the skills needed to cope with symptoms in the long-term.

A mood or anxiety disorder does not go away after treatment, and teens and families who come to Visions and work with our staff understand that an important part of treating a mental health disorder is to develop the tools to live with it, seek out support, and continuously strive for improvements in quality-of-life.An important part of the journey is the Teen Transitional Living Program aspect - the transition from treatment to normal living.
At Visions Treatment Centers, our focus lies on helping teens of all ages cope with severe and at times debilitating mental health issues.

In the interest of providing continuing care as well as an alternative for teens who cannot consider residential treatment and care, we also manage an Outpatient Mental Health and Wellness Center - a specialty clinic providing intensive outpatient program (IOP) and partial hospitalization program (PHP) treatments and services.

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE IF THEY DONT HAVE ADDICTION BUT NEED TREATMENT FOR MENTAL HEALTH.

Being at Visions was one worst three months of my life. I'd give it 0 stars if I could.

Why was is so bad? Because THEY DONT TREAT ADOLESCENTS THAT GO TO THE PROGRAM FOR (SOLELY) MENTAL HEALTH.

I went into the program WILLINGLY. I signed myself up (I AM an adolescent) hoping that I would find a family-like environment.

If anything, it felt cold. The staff would talk to kids that were social, but if you've got anxiety (and tend to be quiet) you'll never get to talk/ get to know the

My son entered Visions after spending 31 days in his bedroom. Over time, he had developed a severe stress disorder on top of being ADHD and Level I on the Autism spectrum. He struggles with Executive Functioning skills. Understandably, he was scared and apprehensive about the program. For the first 2 weeks, all I heard was "I want to come home." But then he seemed to click with his therapists, the counselors, the technicians and other residents. He strived to gain privileges and learned many independence skills. After 100 days, he left with confidence and a new outlook. I saw several

My 17 year old daughter was a resident for 60 days in the Visions Adolescent Treatment Center: Mental Health track. After 3 weeks at the Menninger Adolescent Treatment Center for stabilization her treatment team recommended Visions. We did as much research as possible that time allowed before we needed to make a decision. We absolutely made the right decision, we have no regrets at all. From our first contact over the phone to her discharge day our daughter received sound, meaningful, structured and thorough treatment. Her primary therapist was extremely skilled, kind and encouraging to not

I attended and graduated the visions program about 4 years ago and this place saved my life. The staff and therapists are hands down some of the best people I have ever met. I made life long friends here and still consider Visions as family. As an alumni I still try to attend their alumni events and stay connected. They offer so much support while there and even when you graduate their program. This place has A LOT to offer. I'm forever grateful for my experience going through their inpatient and extended care program. 100% recommended.
Thank you Visions

I went through Visions in 2009 and it completely transformed my life for the better. I was headed down a dark, destructive path and with the help of Visions and their staff, I was able to turn my life around. My family and I had fallen apart and needed help being put back together. I was apprehensive at first, having never been to treatment before. Amanda and Chris have created a program where you don't just feel like a number & another business transaction. The personalized care the program provides forever changed my life. I don't know where I would be today without Visions and

The day I was sent to Visions was, hands down, the worst day of my life. Two years later, I still experience a significant amount of trauma which has been attributed to my stay at Visions. The staff is composed of snobby, totalitarian addicts in recovery who are closed minded and enable an environment of black and white thinking. Everyone I know that was sent here is no longer sober, dead, or traumatized from their experience of being displaced, separated from their family. Had nightmares for years after being released. They will do and say anything to keep you there as long as they can. Obviously

Visions saved my life!! I went to visions almost 8 years ago on the 21st of December, 2008 and I have been sober since! I am forever grateful to the men and women who took the time to care for me when I was at my worst! The Visions team works in perfect unison to provide a powerful therapeutic presence while still placing a heavy emphasis on a 12-step recovery program. I am still encouraged and supported by so many of the people I met at Visions and they have my full confidence!

Complete rip off. These people charge ridiculous amounts of money for absolutely nothing. You're better off taking your child to a 7 day detox program. Trust me parents, your kids will grow up on there own. You don't need to spend thousands of dollars to make your kids realize there potential. Please stay away from this money hungry company.

As the chief operating officer of a local psychological treatment center I have found Visions to be top notch. The treatment team has helped many of our families and their struggling teens with their mental health and / or dual diagnosis challenges and issues. I am confident in the treatment provided at Visions and as a result have sent friends and family to them for both inpatient / residential and outpatient treatment.

Visions and the amazing people who work there helped turn my son's life around 1 1/2 years ago and I'm embarrassed that I've just gotten around to writing about my experience. The team there offered guidance and structure and a real understanding that helped my son grow up and overcome and understand what he was facing. Special kudo's to Garth Lemaster who guided my son and helped him take responsibility for himself and showed him a different way of seeing things. As a footnote my son is now entering his sophomore year in college and has a strength and maturity and insight

Amazing program with an exceptional staff. Visions changed my life as an adolescent who was committed to getting her GED and giving up. Visions encouraged me to start over and I graduated highschool with a 4.0 through their on site homeschooling center. Really helped me rediscover myself and 7 years later I would still recommend this program to anyone in need of help.

As someone who has been to many programs and rehabs I can honestly say visions was one of my worst experiences. Not only were the therapists beyond incompetent, but it didn't emulate real life at all whatsoever. I actually was so depressed while there I contemplated suicide, and I don't have depression. The program cut off all ties with my parents, but even so a resident only gets to speak to their parents for five minutes daily, and if they don't pick up then too bad. Moreover visions was unrealistic in terms of movies that were allows and such. You can't read books until level

As a Visions alumni and an alumni of other adolescent treatment, I can say with confidence that Visions is by far the best at what they do. I got a lot out of the groups and therapy. Visions has the most caring, thorough group of staff I have seen. As a teen it is important to feel heard, respected, and cared about. Coming into Visions I had various issues with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma, and family issues. All of these issues were addressed and I was given the tools to work with some of these obstacles. Visions ultimately helped me find a sense a self and has taught me to be

My daughter went to Visions and it helped her tremendously. The staff are able to walk the line between being fun and playful with the kids and yet completely professional and holding the boundaries the kids need. The groups that I was able to attend with other parents and families as well as the therapy sessions allowed me to identify how I had become an enabler, and how I was allowing myself to be manipulated by my kids- both of them- to their detriment. I am a single mom and I needed the help and the support and reinforcement I got while my daughter was learning about herself and how to exist

This program is not what it seems. They pass themselves off as a small, caring program. Once you give them a check, their tone changes. Calls are not returned. Concerns are dismissed out of hand. You get passed off to their “corporate headquarters” in New York, which seems to be an old apartment building by the Discount Mart at 14 West, 14th Street in New York. If you get redirected to this “headquarters” good luck getting a returned call. After it was all said and done, my wife & I pulled our daughter out of this train wreck and placed her at another teen facility called Visions Treatment

I came to Visions in such a weak and fragile state. I didn't know if I would every feel ok without Drugs or alcohol. During my stay I was taken care of by each and every staff member. Their top of the line treatment plans along with the best doctors and psychiatrist that I have ever come across helped me overcome my struggles. My experience at Visions was not just during my stay. They continue to reach out to me through my journey of sobriety. They have gotten me through some of the darkest times of my life even when I had already left treatment and was trying to tackle this world on my own

The best place for adolescents seeking treatment. Some of the best staff I have ever encountered. It is very structured which I feel is important to the success of recovery in minors. It is coed but there is definite separation of the genders. They have equine therapy, art therapy, and yoga. Just a few of the many beautiful activities visions has to offer. Their clinical staff have been with the company for years and are loved by pasted residents. Visions is a family. Every child is an individual, not just a number. Love this place!!!
