I liked a lot of the people here, most of the aides and nurses were very nice and always got me what I needed. Physical therapy helped me get stronger from my hospitalization. This place is cleaned everyday. I would absolutely come back to Laurel Manor rather than any other place if I needed it and I would recommend it to my friends.

I made pre arrangements to take my grandmother there for 1 night for respite care, the price was $310 which I was okay with. I gave the guy on the phone all the info and he told me everything was good and just bring her in on Sunday. I go to drop her off since I'll be away tonight and they tell me to call on Monday because I need to make pre arrangements, and that they absolutely can not take her and that the main admissions guy is not in until Monday so that there's nothing they can do.

They did not take good care of the patients. My mother in law would ring for help to go to the bathroom it take over an hour for someone to come to her
She actually saw workers hanging in a room doing nothing. When my brother in law went to visit when he left she sat in the visiting room for over hour alone for an hour before an attendent got her.

I had a family member contact this facility for employment as a CNA today. When they spoke to HR my family member was told that this facility is not hiring any males right now due to their female patient population. Like what? I couldn't believe it! I'm sure this facility (like many others) has a variety of residents/patients as well as employees. This statement made by HR was very discriminatory, sexist and unprofessional. I wonder if the NHA and DON are aware of this? Beware!
