DANZA, Center for the Arts was established with the mission to provide expert training to students in a positive, professional environment. A gradual reopening of our dance studio has begun. We are starting with a limited capacity schedule, and within the year will grow to incorporate more classes.
We are currently offering both virtual classes and in-person classes. Class offerings vary by level. At this time, only enrolled students are allowed in the building while classes are taking place. The true purpose of arts education is not necessarily to create more professional dancers or artists.

Services
DANZA, Center for the Arts was established with the mission to provide expert training to students of all ages, levels, and backgrounds in a positive, professional environment. DANZA is the only school in Austin, Texas to include the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development.
For the children's program, admission is by placement class only. No previous dance training or preparation is required. The initial meeting consists of an evaluation and places the student in the appropriate level based on age and ability. There is no audition fee. To schedule a placement class for the school year please contact us at 512.508.9285 or info@danzacenter.com.
Enrollment is generally divided into a school year of a 34 week session and a six week summer session. Tuition is based on the number of class hours per week within each session, holidays are factored in, and tuition remains the same regardless of cancelled classes. By registering for classes, families agree they are liable for the full tuition amount, including any late charges, and fees.
At this time, there are virtual and some in person classes available. Virtual classes currently live-streamed in Central Time Zone through Zoom. The Children's Program offers formal, quality training year-round to students ranging from ages 3-16. The Children's Program requires a placement class, and a year long commitment.

Positive: Communication, Professionalism
We have been with DANZA for years and we love it. My daughter did ballet with DANZA when it just opened. And now my son has been an student there for 3 years. I also took the adult ballet classes and enjoyed it. Ada is amazing and very professional. I would definitely recommend this place.

Our daughter’s being taking classes at DANZA for for years now. We love the tight knit community and it’s been so awesome seeing our daughter benefit from all the positive things that a discipline like ballet teaches a young child. Ms. Marquez is such a positive influence in her life and we just love her. She has a different teacher this year for ballet and contemporary dance and we love her too. I highly recommend this school.

Professional, patient and kind :) Ada has been an inspiration with her commitment throughout this pandemic lifestyle. I've been taking her virtual classes (ballet and stretch) which are tailored to your own needs and level of skills. Once you complete a session/class, you will feel exhausted but happy, knowing you've accomplished a beautiful practice :)

Danza has such a great culture of positive learning while challenging each student to be their best. They plan out great opportunities for students to perform for family and also in public. We love Danza and are so so happy to see them thriving through the challenges that caused many small businesses to crumble over this past year!!

We tried several ballet schools for our 9 year old daughter in 2019 before Danza, but Danza stood a class apart. They teach classical ballet in the true sense. Ms. Marquez is a well qualified and accomplished dancer and really knows the art of teaching the kids. When we went to virtual learning last year during Covid lockdown, we got to see her teaching style on the computer during the dance classes. She is really dedicated teacher, perfectionist and pays so much attention to minute details in the techniques of each individual and corrects them even during virtual lessons. From time to time, she

I just took the Ballet Sculpt followed by Beginner Ballet classes and it was so challenging in a great way. Ada showed us how to make adaptation for those of us who were joining for the first time but also pushed us with very challenging moves that I could really feel working. It was great! Her vibrant personality and positivity throughout the class really helped when I was trying to push through the burn. I highly recommend DANZA.

Ms. Marquez is an angel. I recently attended my first ballet class since I was a kid. I am so grateful to Danza and Ms. Marquez for offering the Adult Beginner Ballet class. It is comprehenzive, professional, warm and inviting. Ms. Marquez' teaching style is, in my opinion, the perfect combination of gentle and firm. I only wish I could take her class in person.

This place is such a gem. We are so lucky to have someone of Ms. Marquez's caliber in NW Austin. My daughter has really enjoyed learning ballet and dance in her studio this year. Since Covid hit, Ms. Marquez has done an incredible job moving classes online. It's been a seamless transition, and we love doing ballet from our living rooms! If you're considering taking a class here -- DO IT!

DANZA has been a saving grace for me this year. I missed dancing ballet and couldn’t find a studio that was open or offering virtual classes. I found DANZA and discovered that not only do they offer virtual classes, but virtual classes for adults who may be rusty!
Ada is an amazing teacher and is great at providing instruction during this virtual… environment. I love that I can take class with her all the way in El Paso, TX! I have recommended her classes to all my old ballet peeps!
While I am still rusty, I catch myself regaining my confidence in my body. I can honestly say that DANZA

Just finished my first stretch class via Zoom with Ada and I am hooked! After being away from my regular regiment for so long, this class felt like a great way to kick things back up. Ada is so mindful of the different levels of all of her students and presents such a positive energy, even through the screen. I already can't wait for the next class. I highly recommend it!!

My daughter and I have been taking classes with Ada, and she is an amazing ballet teacher. Being able to continue taking classes online has been truly great for both of us. The children's classes are carefully designed to work on core skills and Ada is extremely patient working with the kids. As for the adult class, I have taken Ballet Sculpt and Intermediate Ballet and I really enjoy both!

I've been taking Ada's adult Ballet class during Covid via Zoom and she is so motivating during this crazy time. I love her class! She caterers to all levels, is mindful of injuries/injury prevention, is incredibly paitent, and is articulate in her explanation of technique. Her positive energy is infectious! I definitely get a workout in class. I can't wait to take class again! Also, class is half off during Covid!

I'm so glad I found DANZA's virtual classes!
I've been out of the studio for years and this has been such a great opportunity to jump back in. Ada and her staff are communicative and respond quickly to questions. The classes have been a nice end to my evening-- I feel challenged enough but not pushed over the edge to where it's frustrating. (Which is nice for someone who isn't used to taking classes regularly.) Ada provides thoughtful feedback tailored to each student and she's definately a cheerleader for everyone during classes. The quality of instruction and welcoming atmosphere is something

I'm currently taking the 6-week Adult Beginner Ballet Workshop and it's great! People who are taking this workshop are actually adults (working professionals, UT students, etc), not teenagers, so you would be surrounded by people your age. Class is not overcrowded, but has just the right number of people so that you neither feel awkward being in the spotlight nor get forgotten in the crowd. Ada is an amazing instructor; I was the only one in the beginners class who never had any ballet/dance experience before (other students were continuing on from the previous 6-week beginner workshop

I am so glad I found this studio! I tried emailing and calling 3 other places before reaching out to them. Danza was the only one who actually answered or called me back. My Daughter started here in March of 2018 and has not missed a single day of class yet. I am so proud of the growth I've seen in her and am so grateful for the structure and attention provided here. Ms Marcus and her staff are such a treasure and a blessing to have in our lives. Thank you for everything you do! Please don't ever change! We love you!

I've been taking Beginner Ballet at Danza since February, and I love it! Ada is the owner, as well as our teacher, and does a fantastic job of teaching, correcting us as we are learning, and creating a positive, wonderful environment to learn ballet! This is an adult ballet class that is full of actual adults. Other places I've been, an adult class was mostly 16-18 year olds. In addition, their classes for children are wonderful as well. The kids have so much fun while they're learning, and have such freedom of expression. I definitely recommend checking out Danza Center for the

My daughter and I both attend dance classes here & Danza has exceeded our expectations.
Ada has been great, patient with all her students. This is my daughter's first semester and she loves it already! Not only do we like the smaller student:teacher ratio, the affordable pricing was great, too. Our daughter gets individualized attention, something not all studios can offer in a regular class. She is always dancing around now, talking about her lessons. You know you've gone to the right place when your kid is happy, asking when is the next time for dance!

At 47 years old I have never take an dance class in my life. I always wanted to try Ballet and when I contacted Danza regarding their adult beginners class they were so welcoming!
Ada is a beautiful and talented instructor; patient and encouraging but also fun and kind. I feel so fortunate to be learning ballet from her.
If you're like me and you've never taken a class or you have been dancing for years, Danza is fabulous studio.

Absolutely am so blessed to have found this place! Our instructor is amazing, professional and patient! I had always wanted to do ballet ever since I was a little girl and DANZA made that dream possible! I've been coming here since June of 2016 and have been loving every step of the way. Adult ballet isn't offered just anywhere and Ada has taken us from step one to almost dancing in the center by now. She is very great with teaching technique, grace, choreography and love for dance! We are truly blessed to have such an amazing studio like this in Austin!
