Joel is the Owner, Managing Broker and a full-time REALTOR at Necklen & Oakland Real Estate. He is a life long resident of Maple Grove and has been a full-time Real Estate Professional since 1992. Joel, along with his long time friend and colleague Glenn Necklen, founded Necklen & Oakland Professional Real Estate Services in 2010 which has since grown to become the top independent brokerages in the Twin Cities.

I worked with Joel Oakland to purchase my brand new townhouse. Joel is a great realtor I would highly recommend even to my Mom ;). Cindy Thrun did an exceptional job for us under what turned out to be very difficult circumstances. The sellers left for Africa for five weeks immediately after signing the sales agreement and couldn't be reached during that time to sign important amendments to the agreement. Then, after returning, they were unresponsive to our requests to negotiate a different closing date. Finally, the inspection failed to pick up a dangerous condition in the furnace and it's replacement had to be negotiated with the seller. Through it all, Cindy was very professional and made sure that our interests were protected

Being a smaller locally owned company they have a strong knowledge of the Maple Grove area and community that is beyond comparison. They are responsive, tech-savvy, and professional. They also provide tons of online marketing, making listings easy to find online. Joel and Glenn are straightforward and honest and respond quickly to questions and concerns via phone, text, and email.
