The origins of the Hollidaysburg Animal Clinic date back to the 1940's, when Dr. Donald Stever opened a mixed animal practice in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. To accommodate the small animal part of his practice, he built an addition onto his home. Today, Hollidaysburg Animal Clinic resides in the original residence of Dr. Stever, in the borough of Hollidaysburg.
And similar to his home, his family has continued to play a role in the practice of veterinary medicine through the years. In 1977 Dr. William Unger Dr. Stever's son-in-law joined Dr. Stever in small animal practice. Dr. Stever retired in the 1980's and Dr. Unger practiced as a solo small animal veterinarian until 2001 when Dr. Kendra Itle joined Dr. Unger in practice.

Services
Routine care starts at any age, whether as a puppy or kitten, or as an older adult. We encourage annual visits to allow us to better follow the health of your pet. During these wellness visits, certain vaccines may be recommended. We tailor the vaccines to the needs of your individual pet. Puppies and kittens receive a series of boosted vaccines over the first few months, while adult dogs may require vaccination less frequently.
Dr. Jessica Stanek grew up in Hollidaysburg. She graduated from The College of William and Mary in 1998 and from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She worked in a small animal practice in southern New Jersey until moving home in 2005. She enjoys spending time with her family: husband Joe, daughters Lucy and Nora, and 2 dogs, Bernice and Freddie.

Very loving and caring people that work there. We have been dealing with them for probably about 28 years and not a day goes by that we don't appreciate them. I would highly recommend them to anybody they are great great people. They are professional, they are understanding oh, and they have the heart as big as the whole Outdoors.

Great clinic. Docs are super friendly and truly care for our animals. The animals come first and foremost and that is what I appreciate so much. I have been to many vets over the years and often felt like I was an inconvenience to them. Staff is great and caring and always responsive immediately, and very understanding of us humans! We and our "herd" are very lucky to have them in town.
