Parents and caregivers can play an important role in restoring a sense of safety and security in the wake of school violence. Transitioning from summer to school can be difficult, even without a pandemic. Preparing for the transition will help everyone adjust to old and new routines, which will help kids have a positive attitude and learning experience throughout the year.

Nice friendly staff. My instructor was polite and caring and had lots of good insight aside from the actuall class itself. She was more than willing to hang around and answer questions and give advice and resources. I was told that they were working on making it easier to go onto the website and find classes and upcoming course schedules.

This Agency does so much in so many ways to benefit the families of Sonoma County, I almost don’t know where to begin. I guess, from my personal experience as the director of the YWCA’s "A Special Place”, therapeutic preschool program, from 1989 until 1999,approx. is a good place to start. Parenting help for our parents and so many others in the community was unique at the time, and saved so many parents, often single moms, who were struggling to do this important job, for which we had little to no education, at the time. This agency continues to be a “Shining Light’ for parents and children
