Ruby Vineyard & Winery
We make Pinot Noir from some of the oldest vines in Oregon, as well as Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Rose of Pinot Gris, and Chenin Blanc dessert wine. Our wines are made on-site in the property's original green barn. Our winemaking style is traditional, under the direction of our winemaker, Andrew Kirkland.

We take great care to ensure each bottle is expressive of place and the great depth and character imparted by the Laurelwood soils in our vineyard. We source fruit from neighboring vineyards in the Chehalem Mountains AVA and beyond to make wines our neighbors can afford to drink. Family comes first at Ruby Vineyard.

Visited the winery on a Monday afternoon. What a scenic place to sit and sip wine. I am sure this place must be full on sunny weekends. They have amazing views of Mount Hood. Wine was decent but scenery was out of the world.

My girlfriends and I visited Oregon on a girls trip and we spent a day touring wine country. Ruby was by far our favorite vineyard. The wine was delicious and the views were unbeatable. What really made the difference though was our server, Jade. She was so fun to talk to and answered all of our questions (even the dumb ones). We ended up tasting every single wine on the menu :) and there wasn't a bad one! I definitely recommend checking Ruby out!

I understand that during this time of Covid-19 we need to make reservations. However my husband and I were not aware of this on a day we decided to go wine tasting. So when at the first place we went had no same day reservation option we contacted Ruby and they said they had an opening. The place was so nice and the view is amazing. Due to being a same day reservation we were set at a beat up table that was on an incline and set several feet away from the other guests. While there was an umbrella I still got sunburned. We had a tasting and a cheese plate the cheese plate got overheated because

We stopped here on recommendation by our Airbnb hosts. SO glad we did! The property was gorgeous, the wines were delicious, and the service was an A+
I was struggling in the heat and they let me crash their party inside so I could be in the AC which saved the rest of the afternoon for us. It's the little things sometimes that really make an experience! They had really great outdoor spaces that looked so cute! Adirondack chairs, a pretty deck, plenty of shade!

Flights were pretty expensive for the size of the pour. Wine was middle of the road with a few examples of a good wine. View was spectacular. We had the place to ourselves. Contrary to what you would see online, they require appointments.

Definitely try the estate tasting.we did the classic and the estate which allowed us to enjoy all Ruby Vineyards had to offer. Smooth yet everything one would hope for in a Pinot. The Rose of Pinot Noir was a delightful surprise. Definitely a must visit.

Wonderful place to spend an afternoon amidst rolling forested hills and scattered vineyards surrounding you. Background Jazz playing on the deck. Very serene and our favorite size

In the valley.Great host (we had Glen). Plan to visit in the winter too. I particularly appreciated being able to order wine by the fight, glass, or bottle. So many places no longer allow you to order a bottle. The 2019 Pinot grid is crisp, fruity and a little acidic. I did not

We love this little winery for not only their beautiful wines but amazing views and personal service. We are members there now and they always treat us like family. Last visit was for my birthday and we rented the private tasting deck in the vineyard to enjoy with family from out of town. Perfection.

Love this place, the view, the wines, the people, the close proximity to Portland, EVERYTHING!! And, their seating outdoors was placed perfectly for social distancing! The owners are super-nice and fun, and that vibe trickles down with the whole staff, including Andrew, their winemaker!

Ruby Vineyards did not meet my expectations. I made a reservation and was never told that we were on a time limit. Upon arrival a very friendly older gentleman greeted us. He was very sweet and showed us to our seats. It was under the deck area in their garden area.. when they watered their plants my friend got wet from the excess water. Then we had a lady serve our wine who wasn't very friendly to us. She told us we were on a time crunch of 1hour 30 min. We ordered our first round, a few bottles of wine and when we decided to order another bottle we were asked if we can drink a bottle in

Last week we had the most wondrous time at Ruby Vineyard. Having recently moved to the Washington County area we were looking for a winery that, not only offers exquisite wines but is also a safe setting for our family.... Ruby Vineyard is just what we were looking for. My spouse and extended family were able to reserve a private outdoor patio located deep within the old vines of Ruby Vineyard. In an effort to provide a safe, relaxing and beautiful setting Ruby Vineyard has built a private patio with some of the most superb views we have ever experienced. We were warmly greeted by the friendly

We became club members after our second visit and we haven't looked back. In fact, this is the only wine club we are in right now because the wine is THAT good.

The whole team at Ruby are just lovely. The wine is beautiful and the views of Hood on a clear day are phenomenal.

Try it, you will not regret it!!

Great views, ambiance, and exceptional wine! We were greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable staff, who ushered us into their beautiful tasting room. The tasting was a real journey in and of itself, as we explored the various terroirs of the region through their elegant and highly drinkable pinots. The winemaker stopped by to discuss what they've been working on and was kind enough to show us around the vineyard. We had trouble figuring out which bottles to buy without simply purchasing a case of everything! Everything in the lineup was stellar. If you are looking for a great winery in

Ruby Vineyard was a sorry disappointment from the previous Beran Vineyard on the same location. While the new tasting room is a nice facility, it's obvious this winery does not know how to host a wine tasting. They offer no bread or even crackers to cleanse palates between wines let alone any cheese or other things true wine tastings know are imperative for tasters to truly taste and evaluate different wines. We were given small glasses fresh out of the dishwasher and hot which the server proceeded to pour Pinot Gris into. When questioning the hot glass she had no clue that a chilled wine

Absolutely loved this place. You need to come to their location on a clear or nice day they have a tasting room that is decorated beautifully.
Their wines match their taste in decor as it is superb. Everything is proceed well for wine that is a 10/10 in my book. Their pinots and rose are definitely delicious.
Glenn their staff member was very helpful and had a great time chatting about wine and what Ruby has to offer.

Nice surprise and a short drive from Portland

We really enjoyed our tasting as well as the beautiful view. I thought the staff was friendly even when it was very busy the day we went. I would share a tasting next time (there are generous tasting pours). I would love if they had better snacks.

Stop what you're doing and come here! If you like great wine, friendly staff, cleanliness, and stunning views, you have to see what Ruby Vineyard is all about. The atmosphere is chic and updated but not at all stuffy. Jessica in the tasting room was extremely friendly and knowledgeable - always great to see someone in the service industry who seems to genuinely love their job, their product, and serving others. The whole staff was this way. The charcuterie board was great and you have to try the hazelnuts - they come from a local farm only a few miles away. My 5/5 stars can tell you that the

A hidden gem on Bald Peak... Ruby's tasting room built overlooking Mt Hood is a truly breath taking place to be. Coming here with my girlfriend, we were hosted by Glenn who was very knowledgeable about the wines that Ruby makes.

This was a much more intimate type of wine tasting. We will definitely be back!

Andrew our tasting expert was knowledgeable and helpful. He brought us through the tasting wonderfully even as we were a group of 8, which can be challenging. The wines were excellent and the back deck view was beautiful. Wines are priced in the same range as most other places but woth a lower priced entry level at around $22 which was a great easy pinot to drink. We bought the pinot gris, a flavorful white with sav blanc-like characteristics but without all of that tropical fruit.

Ruby is a great stop and I highly recommend stopping by!

Any winery with a dog gets bonus points in my book, but Ruby is exceptional even without counting their very friendly dog. The wines were all delicious and the staff were ready and able to answer any questions we had. Not only that but they also brought out some meatballs made with their pinot noir, absolutely delicious. This winery is relatively unknown around here and it doesn't deserve to be, come and try it and find a new favorite!
