Dauntless Wine Co. was founded by three Iraq war combat veterans - two Marines and one Corpsman. After years of service, the three founders felt that more could be done for the veteran community. Winemakers agree that great wine is made in the vineyard, which at its heart is one of man's oldest agricultural crops.
It is well known that Roman Legionaries expanded viticulture throughout Europe to supply the Legion with wine, vinegar, and posca. Soldiering and farming have been intertwined for millennia because both require hard work and attention to detail; while tending the land is perhaps one of the oldest methods of post-war therapy.

Services
In the midst of the 2020 chaos we were hard at work formalizing our plan to launch our non-profit dedicated to helping Veterans rehabilitate through agriculture. This year we are happy to announce the launch of the Dauntless Veteran Foundation! The mission for the Dauntless Veteran Foundation is simple, to train and equip veterans to translate their talents from the field to the farm.

I scoped this location out for a veteran function. The decor is fantastic. They do not have food, but you can bring food in.
Their wines are all named from military battles or items. We were lucky that one of the owners, Ben, was working when we went. He was able to answer all of my venue questions.
I purchased a wine tasting flight. With each pour, Ben told us about the wine and the history behind the name of the wine. It was so intriguing! I can't wait to go back!

Visited the tasting room this past weekend with my son and daughter while we were visiting our son who is home from Israel for this week to spend some time together and support an amazing Veteran owned business! The wine is very tasty as well so it was a win-win.
Visited with one of the owners for a little bit and had a great conversation. An amazing story that will make you proud and happy that you stopped in! We highly recommend a visit to Dauntless Wine Company!

Really cool spot to grab a glass of wine or a beer and hang out with friends. The owners /staff are awesome and willing to go the extra mile to take care of you. You can bring your own food in, that's a bonus... I wish there were more places like this on Main and less karate shops, real estate, schools and churches, as they kill the vibe of downtown FG when everything is closed after 5pm. Just look at how cool 3rd St is in McMinnville. This place is great and I hope they stick around!!!

Visited on 5/20. Service was fantastic, tasting pours timed well. Enjoyed the Pinots most and they offer a Free run which was delicious, but the No Mans Land wadenswil clone was my favorite here.
Enjoyed getting delivery from restaurant next door.
4 instead of 5 stars simply due to chairs in tasting room not very comfortable.

We discovered this boutique winery in 2019 and now drive out to Forrest Grove to pick-up our wine. The owners and winemakers are military veterans. We love supporting these hard working and creative people. The wine labels and names are a nod to military history. And the tasting room is becoming a mini-museum of artifacts, most of which are being donated. It’s an amazing story & a community is forming. But it only works because the wine is excellent!!!

Me and my partner love making the trip from Hillsboro to Forest Grove just to hit up Dauntless! We usually enjoy a flight outside, then grab a couple bottles for home. Ben and Carrie are the best. They are super informative about each pour and they are super accommodating. If we lived in Forest Grove we would be here ALL the time. Probably best for our wallets!

Veteran Owned Winery, Cool Place, Great Wines
Found this place and love it. It has a rustic, modern vibe and is all about Veterans. When there, I saw a Vet come in and have a beer. Probably felt right at home. My dad (Decease and Retired Lt. Colonel AF) would have LOVED this place. I need to bring my twin (Retired Lt. Colonel AF) next time he visits. NOT JUST FOR VETS. This is a wine bar for all!
The owners are really nice and introduce themselves to everyone when they come in. They have a nice selection of wines they make and it's all in this Dauntless theme surrounding war and vets and life

Dauntless is a great local winery located out in Forest Grove. I haven't been to their tasting room, but I used to drop by their booth when they were at the Hillsboro Tuesday Night Markets in the summer. The owner was very nice and friendly to talk to at the market. It's awesome that they are veteran owned and operated!
Their wines are delicious. They have a lot of pinots as well some whites like Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. I really like that they name their wines after battle themes and have matching label art to boot. So far we've finished a bottle of the Howitzer, the Dreadnaught

Stopped in last week after a visit to Urban Decanter to check it out. Really cool spot with a bunch of old military items inside. The owners spent about an hour talking to us and they are really nice people. The wine was good too so we decided to join the wine club. Really excited to see what else they add to the inside of the building.

I went for the Marine Corps birthday as the owner is a former Marine. A wide selection of delicious dry wines; not a sweet wine in the house 👍🏻.
The owners are enthusiastic to educate their customers on their passion for wine and the processes that they go through to ensure a quality product is presented. The decor of the place is military themed and very original. It is clean. The bathroom is immaculate and the entire place is always clean. The wine glasses are very good and made of great quality. The owners ahave invested themselves fully in this place and it shows. You won't be disappointed

Had the pleasure of first trying their wines at the Forest Grove Uncorked festival in 2017, Then again at the same festival in 2018. We loved their wines so much we jumped at the chance to be wine club members, all knowing that they are still working hard to get started and set up permanently. We were fortunate to schedule a private tasting in their tasting room on Main St Forest Grove while it's under construction. Ben is always so knowledgeable about his wines and the industry that I feel he really can connect to the new wine drinker or the seasoned pro. They have such a great vision and goal

Wow. Very impressive. I couldn't believe that the winemaker has only been doing this for five years. The wines were all very well balanced with high acid and super long finishes. This former marine has put his heart, soul and discipline into his winemaking. Everything from the wine labels to the tasting room decor tell the American story. Highly recommend. Buy wine before the prices skyrocket. These wines are going places.

What a great place! I have been researching for a while boutique winemakers and wineries around the Willamette Valley area. I'd read about in my Dauntless (though I can't remember how I found them) and was really excited to try them. I couldn't make it work earlier in the year but this weekend, success! And, I'm so glad I and a friend did.
I am always a little leery about reviewing wines. I feel like wines are super subjective--what I like others might not and vice versa. Here's what I will say though about Dauntless--Neither I not my friend found a bad one in the bunch

This is a good group of folks making tasty unfiltered reds, delicious rose and dry Pinot Gris. They are three former marines who have an adorable tasting room and big hearts. If you like rich, full bodied reds, you MUST take a trip to Gaston and try it out. They donate their net profit to a variety of veterans charity organizations and are involved with helping transition combat veterans back into civilian life. Such a good group of people here. Highly recommend.
