I hope this web site will give you an understanding of the types of psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and consultation to organizations and leaders that I offer, and some perspective about my work and the ways in which I might be helpful to you.
Psychological insight and self-knowledge are essential for our health and vitality as we confront the inevitable challenges that we meet in our lives as individuals, in relationships, and as participants in organizations of any size. When we recognize that we are struggling in some way, and not living to our full potential, we are called to work toward a better understanding of ourselves and the nature of our interactions with others.

I have worked with Seth for the past 3 years. He has been a mentor and colleague to me and I have been quite fortunate to have his guidance over the years.
He is very skilled at what he does and has a humanistic and holistic approach towards treating his patients. He is wise and incisive, genuine and authentic - and I owe much of my professional development to his supervision and guidance.
As a colleague/mentor, he has been encouraging and compassionate - while also challenging me to develop professionally and personally. He has a unique gift in being able to share feedback candidly and honestly

I saw Dr. Seth Robbins over several years, spending a huge amount of my life savings and never getting better. In my opinion, he failed to diagnose a serious disorder despite my articulating my symptoms over and over and asking for resources and help. Ultimately, I diagnosed myself and found specialists that finally gave me the counseling I so desperately needed. Prior to my diagnosis, I thought I was the only person in the world with my problem and was struggling and suffering each and every day. Now, my life is so much better with self insight and resources. In my opinion, Seth Robbins is unfit

I have been working with Dr. Robbins for almost a year and it has been very rewarding and very challenging. He is a great listener and is able to pick up on destructive patterns easily. He will not always tell you what you want to hear but what you need to hear to grow and be your best self. His style is both caring and warm while also being very candid and direct. I feel cared for and supported but know that he will not sugar coat what I need to hear. Highly recommend him.

Dr. Robbins is a gifted therapist who will engage you in a life-changing conversation. He's well trained, highly ethical, and deeply committed to his work as a humanist and psychotherapist (he also has a great sense of humor). As an academic psychiatrist who trains younger colleagues, I believe that Dr. Robbins represents the best of our professional tradition of bringing heart and mind to work together.
