Chestnut Hill Lodge Health & Rehabilitation
Founded in 1975, Chestnut Hill Lodge Healthcare and Rehabilitation is a 181-bed facility located in Glenside, Pennsylvania in close proximity to all local hospitals. Our soon to be renovated facility will be widely recognized as one of the most attractive in the area.

Through the years, Chestnut Hill Lodge has continued to grow and evolve to meet community needs, and today offers a full continuum of care, from temporary respite stays, to short-term rehabilitation, to long-term skilled nursing care, as well as a broad array of specialty programs and services.
Services
At Chestnut Hill Lodge, care is provided by a team of doctors, nurses, therapists, social workers, certified nursing assistants and others who are sensitive to the needs of our residents. Together we work with residents and their families to emphasize individu8al strengths that promote the best quality of life possible.
Recovering from a recent hospital stay following an injury or illness can come with many challenges. Often times, a family member, based on their experiences caring for loved ones at home, believe that certain changes require hospitalization. However, while true for the elderly living at home, one of the advantages of having your loved one in our care is our ability to respond and manage virtually any need they have - now and in the future.
I am so glad my father is a resident here. Words can't express how grateful I am to the entire staff for ensuring that he stays engaged, healthy and happy. Thanks for all that you do! Mom is so happy and thankful that we moved her here, and we're very thankful to the staff and the residents for being so understanding and helpful.
My name is Andre E., I reside at the Chestnut Hill Lodge as a long term resident. I am writing on behalf of the new ownership of Premier Healthccare. I would like to commend their efforts in making Chestnut Hill Lodger! They are changing lives giving the residents hope for a better life. The Administrator has seen my potential to walk again and has given me the gift of physical therapy, so I can walk again and live life once more!
Whether as a result of a trauma, disease, stroke, surgery or chronic condition, when mobility, function or cognitive abilities are impaired, rehabilitation is often the pathway to recovery, renewed independence and quality of life. We have been serving the health care needs of seniors in our area for more than two decades.

My Aunt, Mabriel Bridgers, just recently passed away. Her belongings, specifically her purse, which contained credit cards, house keys , etc., were left at Chestnut Hill Lodge Rehabilitation.
Family members showed up at Chestnut Hill Lodge to retrieve my Aunt's personal belongings. However, we were informed by staff that her belongings could not be found.
My Aunt just passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022. It is hard to believe that our Aunt's belongings were "misplaced".
To be continued...

Chestnut Hill Lodge was a nightmare it is by far the worst Nursing Home I’ve ever come across. If I could give 0 stars I would. My Dad was a resident there for about 63 days and within those days he fell on 5 different occasions twice in 1 day within an hour span. The staff there were rude, unprofessional, inconsiderate and showed no compassion towards my loved one. All of my Dad’s clothing went missing as well. All of his clothing from his undergarment to sleeping clothes and even his prescription eye wear went missing. When asked about where his clothing went no one could answer. My Dad missed

This facility is by far the worst nursing and rehabilitation center known to man. They attempt to mask how terrible this place is by remodeling the lobby and hanging up a few nice paintings; however the residents rooms are filthy and reeks of urine. As a social worker who support individuals through difficult times and ensure that the vulnerable population are safeguarded from harm; I was appalled by the way the administration team handled and managed family concerns and complaints relating to residents care and safety. A friend of my Moms is in this facility...she is low income, with a state appointed guardian as she has no family....she had suffered a stroke at home and could no longer live on her own....she barely gets any physical therapy since being in Chestnut Hill Lodge...we have to send her toothpast, toothbrushes and other basic necessities as they do not supply their residents with them. They won't even give her a hair brush. To call, the residents must use a single phone.....for all residents, so time is cut very short if available at all. It's a disgrace how they treat their residents of lower means

I wound up lost in Chestnut Hill with a dead phone and extremely dehydrated- I walked in here asking for directions and they (the receptionist, the director, and I think a nurse?) were extremely kind and went above and beyond- charging my phone, giving me bottles of water, and sent me on my way with an idea of how to get back home. Cannot thank them enough!

The Love and care that the staff has shown my sister Rosalyn through the COVID-19 shutdown humbles my heart. I can never say thank you enough. You made her 52 birthday 😉 special. You have been the heroes my family needed.

Not sure what others are talking about in their posts, i've never seen any of the negative things there that are spoken of . in any event, my brother just passed there last week, and i have to say i have never experienced such a pouring out of concern and care from the staff not just in this difficult time, but in all the time he spent there. the staff may be short handed, but i never noticed it. if they are short handed, then the people who are there must be very good at multitasking because my brother never wanted for anything, nor was left alone when he needed help. Yeah, the place looks nice and updated and all (but they neglected patient's bathrooms)...but the smell. The ENTIRE place smells like a porta potty! And this is absolutely not the first time I've had to experience this. I could not even stay and visit for more than 20 minutes without the smell making me sick! We had to cut our visit short so I wouldn't vomit. Something must be done about this.

I was a hospice volunteer and had a patient at Chestnut Hill Lodge. He was being tortured by his roommate. I requested that he be moved and after three weeks he was finally moved to a safer room. Apparently I ruffled someone's feathers at Chestnut Hill Lodge, because they called my volunteer agency Compassus and had me fired from a volunteer job. My patient had been taken off hospice, but I continue to visit him as he is my friend now. They should be ashamed of themselves. The patient definitely does not come first
