Now offering catering! Just For You Cafe started out in 1990 as a little bitty diner on 18th Street in Potrero Hill, a sleepy neighborhood on the east edge of San Francisco. We had two tables and a countertop that sat a dozen folks elbow-to-elbow. The place was always packed with patient customers eager for some good home-cooking, even if it meant waiting 45 minutes for Sunday brunch at the one table we had that could seat four people.
Where to Eat in Dogpatch, San Francisco's Up-and-Comingest Neighborhood: Members of the breakfast club swear by the Hangtown fry at Just for You Cafe. This no-frills diner, decorated with punk-rock posters, is one of the city's most beloved morning pit stops. Some folks go straight to dessert and fill up on the New Orleans-style beignets, tucked under a blanket of powdered sugar.

I've had the Eggs Benedict and Cowboy (french toast, eggs, and sausage). Both were really good. The only negative is I substituted chicken apple sausage for regular sausage links in the Cowboy and those were a bit dry and less flavorful - definitely not worth the extra charge. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent.

- was pretty disappointed with this restaurant. overall, the food was average or below average. would not visit again.
- the biscuits and gravy were too salty, i couldn’t even finish the small size
- the beignets we’re decent, tried one of each and the one with the chocolate drizzle was the best one by far
- however, the prices were pretty good, especially considering we were in sf

Stopped in for breakfast with my family for the first time and the experience was fantastic, food was delicious and the service was great! The bacon was prepared perfectly along with the fresh toast and fluffy eggs. Portions were large which was a nice surprise. Will definitely be back and may try lunch next time! Highly recommend.

I came in one weekday morning and had a breakfast burrito. It was solid, the ingredients tasted fresh and the portion was good, although I wish the flavor had come out a little bit stronger.
Service was friendly and very attentive, and they open early on weekdays which I definitely appreciate. Lovely outdoor parklet seatings.

Nice neighborhood café; it would get higher marks if it had more than just a very few vegan options. That said, they do have enough for a breakfast if you do choose to go including vegan, gluten-free bread as well as a tofu stirfry. Always great to support a local place, hoping they include a lot more vegan options in the future.
