Mount Airy Day Care Center
Airy Daycare and Learning Center, Inc. has been privately owned by the Hauptman Family, residents of Carroll County MD. Being family owned we have avoided the business structure of larger nationally recognized childcare centers. Airy Daycare and Learning Center takes pride in its low staff turnover and is able to provide consistency, security, and the personal touch to each family.

MADLC nurtures and values each family and child, building relationships to make every family's experience enjoyable, loving, and treasured. This website will provide new and returning families with information about our center, our programs, and our policies. Please use this as a resource, as it will surely answer many of your questions.

At our center the children have many opportunities to engage in Hands-on activities, and the teachers ask open-ended questions, scaffolding their learning and supporting self-discovery. The process of how children work is far more significant than the final product. Each child is valuable and we believe in fostering each child's sense of self-worth.
School age children want their opinion to be heard and to know that what they think is important. School age children are balancing between what their friends and peers think and still pleasing the authorities in their lives, parents and teachers. These children have mastered working independently but are easily guided into new, inventive ideas.

I had garbage tossed at me , I was screamed at and isolated and ignored by most staff towards the end of my employment . When I brought my concerns to the owner she basically dismissed me and I was forced to quit . I worked sometimes 6-6pm so to be treated like this was so hurtful . The staff are terrified of her but too scared to say it out loud and loose their jobs.she then decided to lie on important documents to try and benefit herself and

My wife and I can not speak highly enough about Mt Airy Daycare Center. Everything is wonderful.

When they started at Mt Airy, we immediately learned how much they could actually pickup and learn in the right setting. Mt Airy mixes the personality and real-ness of a home provider with the structure and education of a center. Its a gem that we were lucky to stuble upon.
The staff are wonderful. They are real people and genuinely like what they do. I have never once

From the moment you walk in you know your child will be in good hands. The teachers are wonderful and experienced, the classrooms are spacious and kid inviting and the playground is big. My wife and I couldn't be happier.
