Our highly qualified staff not only meets but exceeds Maryland State licensing regulations. We pride ourselves on the tenure of our staff - many over 10 years, with over 100 years of combined child care experience. We select our staff for their warm, caring personalities and love of children, as well as their experience and credentials.

The Children's Center of Walkersville is a Level 5 Maryland EXCELS program? Maryland EXCELS is a voluntary program designed to increase parent and provider awareness of the elements of high quality child care and education.

The benefit of our Child Care is that all children participate in our Preschool program. Activities include art, music, outdoor play, imaginary playtime, and table games. Lunch and storytime occur between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm followed by rest time until 3:00 pm.
This year our very own Ms. Ginny was selected to receive the Governor's Lifetime Achievement award for her dedication and service to children. We are so proud that she has been been recognized for her 30+ years of service. This award has given her the opportunity to get the word out about the importance of quality child care and preschool programs.
