Let me preface this saying the junior suite was a wedding gift from my parents for my wife and I to stay there the night of our wedding. 2 nights for a small suite with a sketchy balcony almost 800 dollars. It was a gift and I was gracious until I found out that they charged my parents and I both for the same room. So they double charged us, I found this out after I got back from my honeymoon. Called to get this situation taken care since I would rather not make payments and pay interest for a room I was not supposed to be charged for in the first place. After a month of waiting and calling back

I love how this place has the feel of the Red Lion Inn but is downtown Noho and the rooms are so much more up to date. The staff was amazing. Very friendly. The downside is wiggens tavern and the hotel Northampton restaurant and not running(thanks COVID) but it doesn't matter because you are in the heart of downtown and can walk anywhere and hey you have a free place to park and a super clean room and extremely cozy bed.

This hotel is super old and needs a lot of work. We stayed here for my wedding weekend and we ran into a lot of problems with the rooms (specifically one of the suites) AC broke, shower that only provided scalding hot water, reservation issues, etc. we called several times and no one came to fix a thing. Customer service was/still is a disservice. I complained to the manager and no at least partial refund for the sauna suite 20 of us were forced to get ready in on my “special” wedding day. Didn’t feel so special. As an apology they offered a feeble gift card, haha like I will come back, umm

Very conveniently located right in the center of town, a very short walk from countless restaurants. The rooms are really very nice, modern, well equipped and clean. (They must have been renovated quite recently). The shower was wonderful and the room was very quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful, lots of parking available out the back including a bank of several chargers for electric cars. Docked one star because they did not do breakfast in the restaurant, although there are lots of cafes nearby that do. Highly recommended.

Run down and bare, in need of much love and care. Misleading website promises much but they deliver nothing. You can get food and drink at their convenience, not yours and morning coffee is just as vague. Sometimes non existent. Room wi fi is in character with food and beverages. Very run down, dowdy and forlorn, basking in the non existent sun of a former life. Service, well there’s no need for it!

Absolutely beautiful building and a lovely place to eat. The menu sophisticated pub food for lunch. I had the salmon BLT and it was delicious. Would be five stars but my wife ordered a Pepsi and it was flat so they replaced it with another one that was flat. If your carbonation machine isn't working and you're in a really fancy hotel the management needs to deal with it. For what they charge for a soda they could have bought cans and poured them into the glasses without us seeing it and at least it would have fizzed. That being said it's well worth going to if you like table space generously apart

Magical wedding at The Hotel Northampton! Big shout out to the Marketing Director Ruby Meng! Ruby was with us every step of the way since day one, always with prompt communication. We never received "no" as an answer going through the planning of our wedding. Ruby was so flexible and helpful with our program schedule, menu selection, collaborating with the rest of the vendors, organizing our rehearsal dinner, and accommodating our guests at the hotel. She also gave us great recommendations for additional services that happen during a wedding day. All of our guests complimented the reception, the

We stayed for 4 nights and while it was in a great location, the rooms and decor were dated and tired. Our room was on a shared balcony and they allowed smoking, which kept us from enjoying the balcony in the evenings. On top of that, we killed 8 spiders inside our room and many more outside. The room was damp and the safe didn't work. The staff was great, but disappointed in our stay. We expected more, especially when we paid $250 per night.

We stopped by for an impromptu late lunch. They were very aware of proper Covid-19 conditions and I felt no concerns regarding my safety while dinning. The server was top notch professional and personable. Her name was Nina and definitely ask for her to be your server. She is a great representative for the tavern. PS the fries were amazing

In late evening (9pm) for some after dinner drinks and a snack.

The space is the original from the hotel's prior location in New Hampshire, moved piece by piece and lovingly reconstructed here. The beams, posts and 10ft wide fireplace are so cool and relaxing, and the faux gas fire is one of the best I have ever seen.

We sat in arm chairs snd a small couch directly in front of the fireplace and Ryan (also tending bar) provided super service and all the background on the hotel and the space. We ordered a nice bottle of cabernet, and a wonderful fruit and cheese plate and sipped and chatted

We went here two nights in a row - one for dinner and one for drinks at the bar. BOTH nights were miserably disappointing!! We waited and waited and waited at the hostess stand to be seated but no one ever arrived to help. We finally walked into the dining room and were told by a server to wait where we were before being seated. The food is WAY overpriced and NOT good - the kind of food you would expect at a chain restaurant. The service was even more appalling. The servers were no where to be found and consistently forgot to bring out drinks and condiments. I have NO IDEA how this place stays

Terrible. Don't know where to start. Everything was completely devoid of taste. Lobster bisque was salty cheese whiz with a couple of lobster pieces. Vegetarian risotto. Quanty over quality. Simply a terrible risotto. Chicken picatta. I don't think it ever came into contact with a lemon. Ceaser salad. They forgot the parmesan cheese crisp on four salads. We only noticed after table next to us was served same salads with quite good looking chips!!! Anyway if your thing is large portions of overpriced tasteless food. Go for it!!! Coming back to this review later. I cant believe how bad

After the UMass graduation we had a reservation at the Wiggins Old Tavern for 6 people. Surprisingly, there was only one other table being occupied in the entire tavern. The architecture of the tavern as well as as the hotel was very fascinating. Our waitress was polite and provided great service. For some reason, our meal took over an hour to prepare which is the only reasoning behind my 3/5 star rating. I ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese which was incredible and plenty for one person (enough to bring some home). The appetizers (bruschetta and crab cakes) were delicious as well. If it weren

This was our 2nd year at the Easter Sunday Morning Brunch. This year was a bit of a let down. There were several types of home made muffins on the buffet, but no one working knew what type they were. The staff behind the buffet weren't overly friendly, either. The biggest let down was when I approached the Belgian waffle table and discovered the whipped cream was Cool Whip! If that wasn't bad enough, all of the desserts that were topped with "whipped cream" were also topped with Cool Whip! Really? I guess I'm a whipped cream snob...but anyone can dump a container

Stayed there last Friday night , had a free continental breakfast. Cereal and fruit. We decided to order off the menu. Saturday morning . I was willing to pay full price for a bigger / tastier breakfast. Wrong ! I got the "homemade" hash and eggs . The has was worse than out of the can, the toast was burnt and my side of bacon was so over done I almost broke a tooth . My girl got the eggs Benedict. And she said it was terrible . The coffee was good . Next time we stay there were going out for breakfast.

Had a nice brunch here with coworkers for one who was getting married. Good atmosphere for this get together however for the cost ($25+drinks) I dont think I would eat here again. A good amount of food variety, but the scrambled eggs were cold and everything was just average tasting. Desserts were excellent as was my Bloody Mary but nothing else stood out.

My friends and I enjoyed brunch at Wiggins Tavern a couple weeks ago. I was a bit skeptical because it was a buffet, but I was pleasantly surprised. They had a bunch of wonderful options for both breakfast and lunch. I tasted a little bit of everything, letting my inner glutton shine. The quality of the food is average, but hot and the pans are constantly refilled.

Our server, Liz, was so nice and constantly refilled our coffees and waters. Enrique, the omelet cook, was also helpful and on top of his game! He handled the meat carving station, omelette station, and waffle station all by himself

Ordered a couple of omelettes for breakfast this morning at this "tavern" located in the upscale but aging Hotel. We were disappointed to receive plates featuring some kind of unknown egg like product with a strange non egg like consistency and no natural browning...basically some kind of artificial powdered scrambled egg like concoction we have all had before at tired breakfast buffets. The bacon was also disappointing.

Our server was friendly and apologetic and offered to send the plates back and ask for real eggs. And the chef sent a message that if we had requested real eggs

This place is awesome! The food was delicious, I had the sea scallops and creme brûlée for desert. Also had a glass of Malbec with my dinner.

The staff is very friendly and told us about some of the history of the building which was interesting. One of the facts was the tavern was disassembled Connecticut and then reassembled here in Massachusetts.

We walked around and looked at some of the antiques which are about 300 years old.
I would highly recommend giving this place a try :)

Only came in for drinks as we dined elsewhere but the ambiance and service were both good.

The bartender was pleasant and was able to make something my wife requested and the malt list was very good with a 30 year Balvenie being the highlight.

We stumbled upon this place during our travels. We sat in the patio and it was wonderful. The portions were very large and everything was brought out very hot. The service was excellent and they were extremely accommodating with our group of nine. The prices were very reasonable (for lunch) for the quality of the food. The smoked turkey panini was delicious as well as the garden chicken wrap!

Would highly recommend!!

BRUNCH!!

This review is simply based on the award winning brunch...definitely one of the best that I've ever been to.

The tavern has an old feel to it - it's a historic site and they've kept the charm of the lower ceiling and old wood while brightening up the room with recessed lighting.

The brunch has an outstanding selection of breakfast and lunch choices (which I could only have some of the following):

Omelette station, waffle station, ham and roast beef carving station, variety of breads, bagels croissants, pastry, jams, jellies, butter, cream cheese, nova lox, eggs benedict

Arrived at this wonderful eatery ravenously hungry on the way from New Hampshire's Lake Region back home to Philadelphia, and as we were accompanied by our awesome furry son, Tango, we needed an al fresco place to eat. A quick check of Yelp revealed good reviews, so we and Tango went into their expansive patio overlooking the Northampton City Hall Green and with a superb look at the passers-by in their quaint and busy downtown.

Service was superb, with the staff welcoming our awesome Black Lab effusively and Tango repaying the compliment by rolling on his back for a belly rub. We had
