Services
Synergy Cycles was founded by Matt Claxton in 2018 in Boise, Idaho. Matt's entrepreneurial spirit led him to the West Coast several years ago on his journey to becoming a business owner. It was during a vacation where he explored the area on electric bikes that inspiration grabbed ahold of him. Over the years, Synergy Cycles has transformed from a mobile rental company to a thriving electric bike dealership in the heart of Boise, Idaho.

We bought a ebike from matt in the summer and only a month of having it someone stole the bike and we have been working with matt first to post for help to find the bike and second to find a replacement for us. He has answered so many questions and help us so much he is awesome. We finally this past weekend were able to find a bike from him and now with the second purchase of a bike. I highly recommend him if your looking for a bike.

Hi There, my Boyfriend and I rentals two e-bikes to try them out this past week for 2 hours, and rode to Lucky Peak dam. Upon renting from this place, I saw the owner put air in the bike I ride. On the ride back, we had to air up that bike twice, and luckily there were air stations on the green belt to do so. The other bike ran out of power after an 1.5 hrs coming back, and we had to tow that bike back, since e- bikes weight 40 pounds, and I weight 109. Upon returning them, the owner didn't even apologize for our situation, he made us feel like it was our fault. We will not be renting or buying

I’ve been looking into getting an electric bike, but don’t know a whole lot about them. I was really impressed with how much Matt knew and helped me navigate my way through what I need/don’t need to fit my personal lifestyle and price point I was trying to stay in. This shop was friendly and welcoming where other shops felt intimidating and unhelpful. I haven’t decided on my bike model yet, but will be purchasing through this company when I do!

Amazing customer service!! Sorry for the delay, I've been off enjoying my QuietKat! I am completely new to E-bikes, but Matt (and his brother who happened to be in town, Mike?) took the time to answer ALL of my questions, even the dumb ones, in spite of being very busy. The best bike shop in town. We spent months researching and talking with various shops about e-bikes. Matt was by far the most patient and thorough when talking with us. He sought to understand our needs and we never felt pressure to purchase. We've been back multiple times to purchase accessories, get service, and send all friends & family to Synergy Cycles. They're so good!

Matt, the owner of Synergy Cycles is simply amazing at what he does, he worked with us last second, and gave us an amazing deal on a bike. Once I had bent something on my bike, he was very fast to fix it and kept us feeling reassured. Defiantly the best and most affordable place to purchase a bike. Good vibes!

We had an amazing time riding for 4 hrs through the greenbelt with the e-bikes of synergy cycles.
From the start was easy to communicate with Matt.
He accommodated our group without difficulties, gave us flexibility with our time and set ahead the bikes based on our age, gender and height.
The bikes are gorgeous, new in pristine condition.
We got all the information pertinent on how to manage our batteries and gave us safety tips.
We loved those bikes, the service and the setting.

Like others, we found Matt to be extremely accommodating and helpful in our rental of Ebikes and answering questions about the right bike to ultimately purchase. The three of us (2 from out of town) had a wonderful time riding along the river and our friend, who doesn't have an Ebike yet, is, looking forward to purchasing from Matt for she and her husband. The shop is across the street from the trail access. A great ride! Restaurants and coffee shops next to trail. And one thing I loved were the friendly people and NO litter along the trail! Way to go Boise!

Super nice business-clean, great variety of cycles all new or like new and the owner, Matt really knows his stuff! Located just across the street from the beautiful Boise River Greenbelt, it was our plan to rent a couple bikes and make that scenic ride. Matt helped to choose bikes that would be just right for us and made any adjustments needed (like seat height etc..). He took the time to go over the features of each bike, ensuring that we each felt comfortable with them. We have had a great experience with Synergy. Purchased our first two electronic bikes from them. Matt was great to work with asking questions and helping us decide on the myriad options available. We love the bikes, exactly what we need without paying for options we wouldn't be using. Strongly recommend checking them out before you purchase an e-bike.

Matt and the crew at Synergy Cycles are amazing. Rented 3 bikes while my brother and sister in law were visiting from out of town. We rode up and down the Greenbelt and had a great time. Had a small leak in a tire that happened from a thorn(goathead) while riding. Got back to the shop before it went flat and Matt traded us out for another bike and we were back on our way.
If you are visiting Boise, from Boise and looking for a new weekend activity, or are in the market for an ebike this is where I'd stop. If I ever purchase an ebike this would my first stop.

We have been using Synergy for about a month now, there bike rentals and leasing programs have been awesome! We have three bikes in our office downtown and it has been a great amenity for our staff. I personally got one to ride to and from work and it has cut my parking down more than the lease and I get to work faster!

This past week my boyfriend and I rented two e-bikes from Matt. The experience was fantastic!
I grew up in Meridian, not really riding bikes. My boyfriend loves cycling though and I figured he'd enjoy getting to know the Boise area on a bike. He reached out to several bike rental companies in the area. Most charge by the day and we were seeing quotes as high as $200/bike for a week rental. We were about to just buy our own bikes and then resell them (which seemed like a HUGE hassle) when he stumbled over Synergy bike rentals.
