He started his career as an electrical contractor and founded Techlinea Inc., in 1985 to provide custom lighting design services to a discerning clientele throughout the US and abroad. In 2000, he expanded Techlinea's services to include electrical design and integration solutions.

Graduating with a degree in Interior Design, Elaine has an interest in aesthetic and functional design. We hired Techlinea to help us design lighting for a new house build. Al Zaporolli did a nice job identifying our lighting needs but when it came down to designing the lighting system, they were incapable of providing any specific cost feedback. They spec'd a lot of lights that were very expensive and when we asked for other options, they were unable to provide other less expensive solutions. As a lighting consultant, you'd think they would be much more in tune with a wide range of lighting options and not just the high-end architectural lights. I ended up having to do a lot of research

I first saw Techlinea's work a the Roche Bobois store in San Francisco. The presentation was so far ahead of what other Control Systems firms are able to do. Then my firm did some work in very large homes in Atherton and Pac Heights where we were able to see Techlinea's work in action. What a 5 star rating on the job they did. I'd give them 6 stars if I could. One is lucky to have a firm like Techlinea advise, program, and install their home control systems. BRAVO!
