Lamp repair work has been part of Solano Lighting's major operation from the very beginning. In the past 30 years, we have turned a lot of vintage lamps into modern wonders for our customers. Lamps made at the turn of last century were constructed durably in classic style. After having been used for generations, the electrical components are worn out, yet the structures are still strong.

We brought in for repair a vintage brass torchiere floor lamp from the 80's. The light in the dimmer, and therefore, the light would not come on. We tried a new light bulb but to no avail. We read the great reviews of Solano Lighting and brought the light in. The owner thought that the problem was in the dimmer but wanted to check out the whole light. She called me the night before it was supposed to be ready to say that she had run into a problem. She said that the issue may be in the top of the light, in which case it could not be repaired since the parts are Italian and made in the

I am so happy with my new light fixture from Solano Lighting. The varied and interesting selection allowed me to find just the perfect fixture for my dining space. Manager Cindy was so helpful and accommodating…..she opened the box and checked on the condition of each piece and cleaned the globe. I love this light. I highly recommend Solano Lighting. Cindy was so helpful in assisting us in choosing just the right overhead fixtures for the bedrooms, hallway and living room. We were having our (older) home rewired and added overhead fixtures where there had never been any before. She asked us questions and made suggestions, to ensure proper lighting, all the while keeping within our budget. We love the results!

I had a terrific shopping experience with Cindy at Solano Lighting. I was preparing a home to list for sale. The original fixture for the dining room was too small for the space and I needed a new one ASAP. I went to the shop and Cindy helped me find an appropriate, in stock, drum shade pendant. I picked it up the following morning on way to meet the contractor. While installing, we saw a crack on the glass panel that sits below bulbs. I ran back to the shop, to see if they had another, and fortunately Cindy had brought two from the warehouse that morning. She opened the box to review all the pieces

Very nice people and a good selection of interesting lighting fixtures.
We don't live near Albany. And we couldn't find anything we liked in our local lighting stores. So for us it was worth the drive to Albany. Solano had several fixtures that we liked. And we bought a chandelier that we're very happy with.

I have 2 little lamps that my grandfather made. They are very dear to me and I was so relieved with the care and expertise Cindy showed them! She is kind and warm and knowledgeable. She even called me to follow up and make sure the lamps were working. Cindy, and Solano Lighting, were recommended me to a friend who has lived nearby for over 40 years, and now I know why.

I recently brought my mom's antique table lamp, with crystal drops, into Solano Lighting for repair. I needed the kind of expertise that would make her happy! (you don't want to disappoint your mom after all) The work was finished on time, they found an excellent match for the missing crystal drop, and fixed the wiring. Excellent communication, (even a follow up phone call) and it is clear that they would like you to be happy with their work, and take the time to do things well. Mom's delighted that her lamp is working again!

I recently visited Solano Lighting to have a table lamp repaired. The staff was friendly and did a great job explaining to me the exact reason why the lamp had stopped working, and gave multiple options for repair based on how I would like to use the lamp. The repair was done quickly, and they even followed up days later to ensure the lamp was still working properly. I also felt like I learned valuable information that I can use in the future to troubleshoot lighting issues at home. Overall my experience was great, and I would definitely return for repairs or other lighting needs.

I recently moved back to Albany CA. Love that town! One of the things I like is how friendly everyone is. Like my experience with Solano lamp shop. My chandelier from my old house was to big for my new smaller place. The very friendly owner of the lamp shop helped alter and rewired my lamp to make it perfect to fit in my new home.
I ordered a standing lamp from another lamp store online. When I got it, the lamp did not work. I took that lamp to the Solano lamp shop, where the owner figured out what was wrong with it, fixed it and did not even charge me!! Even though I did not buy the lamp there

I was so impressed with the service I received at Cindy's lovely shop! I brought an older lamp in for repair. The cost was very affordable. Cindy was very courteous, organized and prompt. I am so happy I found this local shop! Also great to note that they have a pretty large selection of hard to find light bulbs. If you are in need of a new lamp or have one that just needs a bit of love, go see Cindy. She's great!

Cindy and Solano Lighting did such a wonderful job with our four family lamps. We really didn't want to throw them away because of sentimental value. I'm glad we looked into repairing instead of going Ikea or mail order as Cindy is friendly, courteous, and so prompt with the repairs.
And the price was great - much cheaper than getting new lamps. She even modified them slightly to help keep them going longer because they have those chain switches which often get pulled off.
Cindy also checked in 2 weeks later and left a voicemail making sure our lamps were still working. Really

What a great little light store. We are at it again. We have resumed our quest to find a pair of exterior lights for our Eichler. Given the distinct, love it or hate it style, changing stuff is difficult if you want it to look right. In this case with our recent (yes I did it all myself) exterior refresh we decided to correct a wrong with our exterior lighting and find something in character with the home.

We Been shopping for lighting for our dining room for weeks and weeks! We couldn't find anything we liked. We were pleasantly surprised by the vast inventory at Solano Lighting and liked several lights right away. Cindy was fabulous, professional and friendly---demonstrating incredible technical knowledge about various aspects of her lights.
