Psychoeducational Evaluation: Conducted to assess a person's educational strengths and weaknesses.
As a group, we share an interest in learning and attention problems in people of all ages. We are committed to providing comprehensive and useful evaluations with a short turnaround time. Testing is conducted by highly experienced psychologists as opposed to technicians. Our results are provided in an understandable and useful format to the client, family, and involved professionals.
Dr. Giunta and Dr. Sapin evaluate known or suspected neurological conditions such as head injury, dementia, stroke and multiple sclerosis, typically at the request of a neurologist, internist or other professional. A neuropsychological assessment is conducted to elucidate strengths and weaknesses in cognitive functioning and, where possible, to help diagnose the presence and severity of neurological conditions.
Dr. Giunta and Dr. Orth have a particular interest in conducting personality assessments, which are evaluations of how an individual is functioning psychologically for example, in what way has trauma affected an individual? Personality assessments are typically done at the request of a therapist as an adjunct to therapy.
