Seward Park High School
Through the tremendous generosity of alumni and friends the alumni association is able to fund college scholarships for today's Seward campus students. Don't know any celebrities? Think again! Whether they are in show biz or are Nobel Prize winners, you as a Seward alum, may be only one degree of separation from them!
Services
We have received many inquiries as to the current status of Seward. But do not despair! Seward has given birth and become the proud parent of five new high schools - all located in our old building at 350 Grand Street. This all came about as part of former Mayor Michael Bloomberg's small-schools initiative.
Reunions are planned by individual alumni. We are happy to assist whenever asked, but we are a volunteer organization and we do not have the staff to organize such events. If you are interested in organizing a reunion for your class, we are happy to list your interest on the website so that other classmates may contact you.
We have received many requests from alumni to obtain copies of their yearbooks. Unfortunately, with very limited exceptions, there are no extra copies of the yearbooks. However, we have been able to have all of the yearbooks in our archives scanned. We will be happy to send you a CD copy or a link so that you can download your yearbook for a $25.00 donation to the alumni association.
I left in 1950 to join the USMC. I've often thought of the school and have fond memories of teachers and Woolf Colvin as Principal. From 1950, well, who knows? So much time has gone by. 43 years ago I graduated from SP and I reminisce on many of the experiences I had which ultimately molded me into who I am today.
You might be surprised by how similar today's students are to what you remember about being a Seward student. While today's culture may be different and the political causes have changed, the students still have so many of the same hopes, dreams and challenges that we faced. We often receive inquiries about how Seward alumni can help today's students.

Swimming class? You are a male? Don't even THINK about it. This school is sexist. There are no changing rooms AT all for males. Showers are all open no walls or doors. Shower water is cold as dry ice. Bathroom is small and smells. Pool is small as well. For females there are changing rooms, mirrors and hair dryers. There is closed off showers and is 100 times better than the boys.
