My name is Abby Mullen. As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), I have been practicing psychotherapy in Manhattan and Westchester over the last decade. In this time I have had the opportunity to help people navigate challenges and create positive change. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard as an individual and safe to explore your thoughts, while gaining tools and insights to set and achieve your own goals.
Some of my clients' concerns have included learning how to steer through the challenges of parenting, relationships, career choices, college, and physical health. Life throws significant hurdles and opportunities at us which can create stress and anxiety. Friends and family are invaluable supports, but sometimes you need more.

Is it difficult for you to make it into an office? At Mindful Matters, we offer online face-to-face sessions via theralink (a HIPPA Compliant source) to better fit your schedule. Are you in Manhattan, Brooklyn or another part of New York State? Theralink sessions may be your way to receive therapy and care from the comfort of your home, or the convenience of your office.
I offer both short and long term options. In your first session we will begin to devise a plan tailored to your needs at that time, and will continue to reevaluate through the process. Each session is 45 minutes long, with an option for extended sessions if needed. During that time the space is yours to discuss and process the events of your life.
