John Dugan built Dove Estates retirement home without ever dreaming he would be one of its first residents. But after suffering a stroke during the completion stages of its development, John found himself in need of the services it offered and moved into the home with his wife, Marilyn. John and Marilyn's daughters, who make up five of their ten children, are the owners of Dove Estates.
Here at Dove Estates we offer services to help ensure the highest quality of life and provide compassionate care in a loving, home-like environment. The nursing team at Dove Estates is dedicated to meeting the physical health, spiritual, social and emotional needs of the residents.
While we encourage residents to be as independent as possible, our team will be ready and able to provide as much comfort and support as the resident wants or requires.Dove Estates will be staffed twenty-four hours a day by nursing team members. In addition to the RNs and LPNs, the heart of our caregiving effort will be provided by a solid team of certified medication aides (CMAs) and certified nurse's aides (CNAs).

This is probably the worst place for elderly in Sedgwick county. The management doesn’t care at all about their customers and will find any excuse to get rid of them or avoid them. It’s truly a pathetic place for a senior center. Please, if you have any respect for your parent or grandparent, do not let them live here, it is a truly horrible place.

During difficult times due to Covid, the measures implemented has kept Mother healthy in Memory-haven. Each time we speak to her on the phone, via Facetime or through her window with masks, she says how thankful she is for the staff's care. It's a team effort with staff & family to remind her why we still can't have in-person visits.
